Celine sues, says architect tuned her out !!!

Big-deal Delray architect Randall Stofft probably should've kept that in mind.

Instead, beachfront construction guru Stofft decided to take on diva Celine Dion, and the Canadian's French heart stopped going on (and on) for the man!

Dion's suing Stofft for allegedly causing delays as long as a year on her $3.2 million home construction on Jupiter Island. She wants damages, too, to the tune of a quarter mil.

"They're not even close to getting a COD (certificate of occupancy)," said the island's building official, Jeff Newell.

Yet, songbird Dion and her tribe last year scoured the Jupiter area for a private school for son Rene-Charles, expecting the 9,800-square-foot mansion to be done by now. Dion fired Stofft and replaced him with WPB architect Roger Janssen, who drew her a home that blends elements of Key West, New Orleans and Victorian architecture.

Celine Dion wants an octagonal room facing a beach in her Jupiter Island home, but Delray architect Randall Stofft balked. She fired him, and he had a lien placed on the land.

Plus, if I had hundreds of millions of dollars like she has, I would do the same things that she does.

I don`t understand the architect. Of course he should do what is asked of him. But what`s with the octagonal shape? Does it have some meaning to her or does she just like the shape? Weird...

Well it's not uncommon for building contractors to be like this even for us common folks. They usually promise some particular date that the job will be done and then there are almost always multiple delays which ends up inthe job taking a lot longer than anticipated.

So even when you have lots of cash 'ola like Celine they can still end up taking a long time, although it won't help that contractor's reputation.
