CellyDee87 Posted June 10, 2008 at 12:13 AM Posted June 10, 2008 at 12:13 AM I thought that only Celine did it but according to Wikipedia... Cover versions "Because You Loved Me" has been covered by Johnny Mathis (1998), Michael Ball (1998), Vivian Reed (2001), Jane McDonald (2001), Clay Aiken (2006) and Miho Fukuhara (2007). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Because_You_Loved_Me But it's Wikipedia so who knows really it's not that reliable Quote

So, I wasn't going to listen to Clay's version of the song, but I decided to. I must say that though he's definitely not a bad singer and I commend him for trying, I don't think anyone can sing the song like Celine does! The essence that Celine brings to a song was not in Clay's rendition... That much I'll say! Quote
Critiaslux Posted February 18, 2018 at 07:48 AM Posted February 18, 2018 at 07:48 AM (edited) Because You Loved Me, a people's favorite for Valentine's Day Youtube views were soaring https://www.tubefilt...gs-celine-dion/ A Lot Of People Listen To Celine Dion On YouTube On Valentine’s Day By Jessica KleinOn February 15, 2018 Every year, people turn to YouTube to listen to some Valentine’s Day tunes. Whether they’re songs about romance or breakups, their view counts always seem to go up on February 14. Thus, YouTube has curated a list of the “Top 10 Trending” songs on Valentine’s Day. From Celine Dion to Boyz II Men, the king of rock to, well, a king of R&B, the list has some obvious romantic favorites, as well as Akon’s Lonely. But what’s most interesting about the list is just how much more views these songs get on Valentine’s Day compared to the rest of the year. For instance, at the top of the trending chart, views of Dion’s Because You Loved Me go up by 120.1% on February 14. (The percentage represents the average spike on Valentine’s Day 2015 through 2017 compared to other daily view averages.) Next on the list is Richard Marx’s Right Here Waiting, with a 91.2% viewership increase on V-Day. At the bottom of the list there’s the classic 80s hit Take My Breath Away by Berlin, whose February 14 views increase 17.6%—surely because many people regularly listen to the song originally created to highlight the romance in Top Gun, anyway. If you’re curious, here’s the rest of the list: Artist Song Average Valentine’s Day Views Increase 120.14% 91.20% Bryan Adams (Everything I Do) I Do It for You 55.17% 47.46% 32.85% 31.94% 27.02% 23.70% 21.94% 17.57% As an aside, a lot of people posted Valentine’s Day playlists to YouTube this year. Some of them appear to be more romantic than others. Listen to them at your own risk. By the looks of these playlists, it seems like Ed Sheeran will definitely make next year’s top 10 trending list on February 14. Edited February 18, 2018 at 07:51 AM by Critiaslux Quote

Javito Posted February 18, 2018 at 12:33 PM Posted February 18, 2018 at 12:33 PM Because You Loved Me? Probably one of her biggest hits and the only one that never got on me. Never liked this song since the first time I ever listened to it on the All The Way album back in 1999, and today... well, I'm sick of it 1 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
ivo Posted February 18, 2018 at 12:56 PM Posted February 18, 2018 at 12:56 PM I remember really liking it when it was a hit and played a lot on the radio in 1996. Since a long time the song doesn't do anything for me anymore.
