Celine Dion is already in Berlin!

She will stay there for the next 2-3 Weeks. She did a sightseeing tour, but not in a limo, she used a TAXI!

With Celine Through Berlin !!

 

The Canadian superstar Celine Dion will be in Berlin for 2.5 weeks. Upon arrival she explored the city in a cycle taxi with her mother for 6 hours. Photographer Sebastian Karadshow accompanied her.

 

Whenever superstars come to Berlin and want to do some sightseeing, they usually do it in a dark limo.

Thats not how Canadian singer Celine Dion (40) does it. For 6 hours she explored the city with her mother friday afternoon and had a friendly chat with the photographers from B.Z.

 

"Its unbelieveable how beautiful the city is" Celine says. Around 5 pm she had arrived at the Regent Hotel at the Gendarmenmarkt. She will be staying here with her family for the next 2.5 weeks during her European Tour. Only on the concert dates she will be flying, on a private plane, out to the cities where she is performing. Enough time to visit her temporary home.

 

Accompanied by 2 bodyguards she walked straight to the Gendarmenmarkt with her mother. And because of the weather there was a moment to enjoy a coffee in the sun at Restaurant "Refugium" before the sightseeing tour.

 

Then she saw the bicycle taxi's and approached one to take a tour around the city in the modern Riksja.

 

Across Babelplatz towards Unter den linden, to the Pergamom museum, Monbijoumuseum and the Berliner Dom. Dion photographed many old buldings from the Taxi with a look of unbelieve in her eyes.

"This city has so many beautiful sights". "I cant believe I didnt have more time before in Berlin to have a proper lookaround". "You should be very happy to live here."

 

From the Dom they went onto Unter den linden again towards Brandenburger Tor. Suddenly Celine made the driver stop because she had discovered the beautiful statue at the innersquare of the Staatslibrary and wanted to take a picture of it. She clicked a pic and they went on.

 

For the taxidriver she bought water and a small gift

 

On the Pariser Platz the taxi stopped. Celine and her mother got out and went into a souvenir Shop and stayed inside for about 45 minutes. Bags, postcards, bears. Every Berlin artikel was being looked at.

No wonder. The singer is a big shopping fan. When she came back she had bought a bottle of water and a small gift for the taxi driver.

 

They went along through the Brandenburger Tor to visit the memorial for all murdered European jews. Celine was impressed and got out to go to the information desk to read about the history.

 

On potsdammer platz she posed for the camera before a part of the wall for her mother and checked out Check Point Charlie. Round 10.30 pm they returned to the hotel. Her husband and son were waiting for her there. "I am so happy I can share these moments and new impressions with my family" she said after a long day. Here it ends.
