incognito Posted January 31, 2015 at 08:29 PM Posted January 31, 2015 at 08:29 PM Babs posted a random pic of Celine a few weeks ago on her Instagram. She ain't no hater. 3 Quote
QueenCeline87 Posted February 1, 2015 at 01:15 PM Posted February 1, 2015 at 01:15 PM I really think barbra respects celine & she said something in a interview a few years ago about her apparently walking out when Celine was singing at the oscars! She was like why would i do that to her ( she did miss the song but not intentionally ) but she just couldn't understand why people would think it was true , that she would never want to upset Celine or anyone like that! I think babs just has this bad rep for being a diva and tbh I think most of it is made up! She even has a truth alerts section on her website to shoot down such nonsense! WCD199317 Posted March 2, 2018 at 03:24 AM Posted March 2, 2018 at 03:24 AM The difference has been the song has been edit for the released in single. The same thing has been arrived with Nothing broken but my Heart (almost 6 minutes in the album, 4:10 minutes in the single edit), It's All Coming Back To Me Now (7:36 in the album, 5:31 in the single edit), All By Myself (5:12 in the album, 4:00 in the single edit) and To Love You More (5:28 in the album version, 4:43 in the single Edit), because the song has been very long in the album. You should have read what has been saif years before because that one is a particular case. Although it is called 'edit' it's not an edit in term of lenghth, as both album and promo version shares the same lenghth (4'50). The only difference takes place in the way the bridge is mixed : in the so-called radio edit, there is a guitar that cannot be heard in the album version. It lasts only one bar...and that's the only difference ! 3 Quote
tiniann88 Posted March 9, 2018 at 10:58 PM Posted March 9, 2018 at 10:58 PM Ok so Tell Him is like My Love... you can hardly tell there's a difference. As far as Barbra being "sick", I read somewhere that she has terrible stage fright and that may be why she seems to be "sick" a lot. Quote

It wasn't until I looked up the lyrics recently that I realized she sings, "what if," instead of "wife." 2 Quote Tommy

CelinesDIVO5 Posted November 25, 2018 at 12:27 AM Posted November 25, 2018 at 12:27 AM Not strange. A female-female duet is just a much more difficult song to write (see: Tell Him... even for such an iconic duo they couldn't come up with something decent!) (And not familiar with Ms Pausini but why would she expect Celine would do a duet with her?) I think “Tell Him” is great! It’s classy just like Celine and Barbra. And they were so meticulous in writing a song that wasn’t a cat fight between two women. I thought it was written beautifully and the execution on Celine and Barbra’s parts were pure magic. 5 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay
comingback Posted November 25, 2018 at 09:06 AM Posted November 25, 2018 at 09:06 AM (edited) I think "I say just bring back the concept of "Divas Live," but not bring on every female singer just because they're hot at the moment. A new one could include Celine and Barbra. Celine could perform her new single, and Barbra hers. Plus, they could FINALLY do a live performance of "Tell Him."Tell Him" is great! It's classy just like Celine and Barbra. And they were so meticulous in writing a song that wasn't a cat fight between two women. It's a bland and boring duet and full of cliches : females sing about a man. As if there is no other topic for women. And you can write a great female duet song. When you believe is 1000 times better than TH. It's inspiring and it's not a about a man. Edited November 25, 2018 at 09:08 AM by comingback 2 Quote
Javito Posted November 25, 2018 at 11:03 AM Posted November 25, 2018 at 11:03 AM Is this Celine & Laura Pausini picture real or a manip?https://www.instagra.../p/Bqlg4cDH0qt/ I used to be really into Laura's music, I think it would be cool if they did a duet. Real. Sorry, but Tell Him is horrible. It's a bland and boring duet and full of cliches : females sing about a man. As if there is no other topic for women. And you can write a great female duet song. Now that would have been controverial, not the nununustupid thing :w00t: Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Suuuure because the old american speech about "faith, strengh, dreams" is nowhere to be found ... "When you believe" is as cliché as "Tell Him". Sorry. I despise both of them. Maybe less "Tell him" because I'm more sensitive to Céline's voice and technique but that's it. Only Céline's fans can love "When you believe" because it's a pop song and Céline is more pop than Carey and Houston. But this song is unworthy of Carey and Houston's discography. Their hardcore fanbase don't like it. Sometimes one can wonder why some songs are not sung but sometimes there is a reason. And reason why "Tell him" and "When you believe" are not performed is the same: they suck. 2 Quote
Javito Posted November 25, 2018 at 11:29 AM Posted November 25, 2018 at 11:29 AM (edited) #Overrated song. (And album). The Reason (version of Carole King with Céline's background vocals) is way better than Tell Him IMO. Tell Him is a classic David Foster ballad, with all the saccharine and affectation one could dream about these kind of songs, so if you're in that phase of flirtation, it does its job Edited November 25, 2018 at 11:34 AM by Javito Quote "Hush, now... I think this song surpassed the cliche. They made it about one woman giving advice to another, rather than making it about 2 women fighting over a man (ala Whitney and Deborah Cox, Brandy and Monica); which would have been a “been there, done that” situation. David and Linda were very thoughtful in realizing who they were writing for, and understanding that these two women were not meant to sing a fight song with each other. Celine and Barbra have a certain class about them, and this was taken into heavy consideration with the subject matter of “Tell Him.” 5 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

To me Tell Him is one of those few instances in which two superstars really worked together, and it worked flawlessly in the mood the album with the album art and whole concept achieved...peak adult contemporary...plus to me will always be the english version of "Cosas del amor" by Ana Gabriel & Vikki Carr...It's the same overly dramatic kind of song... Do any Spanish speakers think the same? https://youtu.be/DcSob14zmgU and yes I would love a Duet with Laura Pausini, she really is someone you could mirror Céline career evolution to not to do a vs. but more of a comparison on the same songhttps://youtu.be/LDM5rt8yogE 1 Quote
