What would be really cool was if she were to sing it in Vegas at her show, think of all she could do with it. Does anyone else think that it would be really cool too? Quote

Sorry, but 'My Immortal' is such a low, goth-like, dieing song.It's really depressing and the lyrics aren't something Celine would sing. It's the kind of song one would sing if they were having a horrible life, if you ask me. Celine is great just the way she is. And even when she doesn't feel so well, she's always looking up, and singing of hope. I think it would be better if she didn't cover this song. And I can think of a few that Celine sings that ARE that depressing, or about death, ect... One that comes to mind right away is from the self-titled album, "With This Tear". It's about someone dying. You're right, she's just perfect how she is, but I don't think it would be too weird for her to sing more "deep" songs and not just happy ones. People want something to relate to ya know? And personally, "My Immortal" is one of my favorites. The lyrics are beautiful and meaningfull, and the music is gorgeous, IMO anyway. This song is very powerful and it needs a strong voice ..But if Celine sang this song...it would be totally different..probably the original meaning would disappear..and My Immortal wouldn't be the same song... .... But you're all right Celine is superb the way she is. I just think That she would do an awesome job singing that song. Better than the original. And Celine can sing anything, so I don't think it would be totally weird for her to sing it. And by the way, whoever said that "My Precious One" is the same as this song is slightly wrong, because despite the fact that the sound the same , the melody is different, and besides "My Precious One " is in a minor and "My Immortal" is in a major. I don't think she has ever sung such depressing songs (Thank God). I don't see anything in this song that I can relate to her.It's not just that I don't like the song. I always hated I drove all night sung by Cindy Lauper and now I love Celine's version.The thing is... this song has nothing to do with Céline, who is such a cheerful person. She is way emotional but it's always positive, up... not depressing.
