Yes that is Rene`s ex wife Anne Renee. My god it is so so strange to even picture him with another woman! Weird feelings to see this!

I recently got the new 2017 tour program and there were so many rare pictures from the 80s and 90s in one section. I took the time to scan them and tried to touch up the color and contrast on some of them. These photos are just gorgeous, so much so that I used one as my new profile picture! Enjoy!

[I Drove All Night!]

This was at an album launch for her brother's singing duo. I think she looks AMAZING! The bangs are so fun and sexy, they're definitely not permanent so I'm sure they'll be gone for Vegas but they're super fun for an event like this.

 

And that outfit... INSANE. Look at her abs!!!

"Jacques Dion and Geneviève Garceau’s tour announcement was a family affair, as the Dion clan filled the intimate Monument-National theatre Wednesday evening.

And just as he had for her at the beginning of her career, Céline was front and centre, supporting her older brother’s revitalized music career.

It was pure joy to watch them perform, Céline said following the short set, during which the renowned singer had been smiling and clapping along. She occasionally wiped away tears as she reached for her 90-year-old mother’s hand.

“Geneviève has been a great source of inspiration,” Céline said, recalling listening to Garceau sing as a young woman. “I’ve always found that she has control of her voice. Since then … time has passed by her vocal cords.”

It had been 14 years since the folk-country duo last stepped onto the stage, Jacques said. Their son Jimmy had a skiing accident that left him partially paralyzed, forcing the couple to pull back from the industry to take care of him. His mother accompanied him to classes as he completed a bachelor’s degree in screenwriting while Jacques worked as a music agent from home.

Looking at their son, now living on his own and working as a screenwriter for a film company, “nothing is impossible in life,” said Garceau, dismissing the fears she had about getting back into music.

“Now it’s (Jimmy) who’s encouraging us to return to the stage,” Jacques said. “He tells us, ‘Go ahead, sing, Maman, Papa. It’s what you do best.’ ”

Dion and Garceau are returning with an eponymous album, which is set to be released at the end of the year. They will be promoting the new album with a tour they’re appropriately naming Nouveau Départ, which translates to New Start.

No stranger to composing music — Jacques is credited with having written Céline’s 1981 breakout single Ce n’était qu’un rêve — he explained that while he had some songs in the bank when Jimmy moved out last year, it felt like the right time to pick up the guitar again and start writing more songs.

Five Quebec dates for their eastern Canada tour have already been announced, with a pre-tour show on Sept. 26 at Medley Simple Malt at 6206 St-Hubert St. Maritime show dates are expected to come as well. "

But she also brings a LOT of attention to them in return. There are pics of Jacques being interviewed without Céline so he also gets his place

I completely get what you're saying because I've always admired the fact that Céline relied on her talent to be successful and not what so many other artists have done - which is to rely on shock value. It seems lately that Céline's taking that path, and I'm not loving it either. With this event being about her brother and sister-in-law releasing a country album, the outfit/look seemed out of place. It's true that she brought a lot of attention to them, but I think she should've been more in line with them, and the focus should've been on their new music...not Céline's clothes/hair.

I get what you mean. The main focus of this even was her brother Jacques Dion and her wife, so if she wanted to give focus on her brother and pass on the torch of all flashes for once, she should have dressed "less" striking I would say.

 

I'm sure Céline wants to try new things and probably she doesn't do this on purpose, but someone should tell her that if she's going to a music event focused on other person, she should not dress as if she wanted to be the center of attention again. Or does she always love to be it, no matter what or who?

I am hoping she will settle down again in a while though. It's like last year was heavy grieving, this year is more of a weight lifting but still grieving and wanting to shock and try all these new things, next year the novelty will have started to wear off. Remember she is still trying to find a new balance in her life. But I do agree with you some of the stuff we have seen this summer hasn't in my opinion been great. Am glad the actual shows were brilliant to balance that out a bit.

I love that she plays with fashion, with all the money she has, it's about time she dresses sexy and modern and now that her husband is dead, she doesn't have to deal with his opinion anymore and can wear whathever she wants whenever she wants, after all she's the BOSS.
