I suppose not. Her little heart is so soft. In the fifth picture, I can't figure out if Rene is crying with her, looking at her like ''Celine, please stop crying'', or if he actually wants to comfort her. I wonder how many times in his lifetime Rene had to dry her tears; I'm gonna bet a lot a lot...

Celine Dion plans to raise $100 million Canadian (almost $65 million U.S.) for Ste-Justine's Hospital, one of the Canada's largest pediatric facilities.

The 34-year-old pop entertainer spent last Wednesday (December 18) visiting 16 sick children in the Montreal hospital, in a ward not far from where her niece Karine died about a decade ago.

The Canadian Press news service reported that Dion broke down in tears and vowed to support a campaign to help raise the millions for Ste-Justine's, which is in need of research funding, equipment, beds, and an enlarged cancer facility.

Still teary-eyed, speaking at a news conference, the singer said, "It's difficult for me. I'm speaking here as a mother."

Dion and her manager husband, Rene Angelil, will became patrons of a five-year fundraising campaign slated to begin next spring, The couple has taped two television ads asking for donations, and Dion may also record a benefit song. She has been affiliated with the hospital since her niece lost a battle against cystic fibrosis.

The Canadian government has said it will match the $100 million with an additional $300 million. Dion, who is Canada's wealthiest entertainer, also made a private undisclosed donation with husband Angelil.

Personal Note: Covering a Celine Dion takes some negotiating skills. Her bodyguards are all over the place, and they simply don't care if the photojournalists THEY invited drop dead. They are extremely rude, they stand in front of us and see everybody as a threat. They ended cramming up 120 photographers in a perimeter of 5 meters by 5. Each usable shot we got of her was a miracle!

The last ones are when they were coming back from vacation in Hawaii I believe. The pink shiny shirt ones are from 2/28/01 when she was rehearsing for the Grammy's. The others I think are from around the sametime in LA, I'll ask though.

Celine and Rene, presented a cheque for over one million dollars to be divided among 10 Las Vegas area charities. They also held a draw for three grand prizes!

Im sorry but im with the majority and HATED the short blonde hair it made me feel she was in her 50s when in fact she was in her early thrirtys at the time...take a look at the short blonde hair when she is standing next to RENE they look the same age
