I don't like her!

I think she's only another of those special-kids but when she grows up the magic ends and she'll be noone again. Well, she's absolutly fortunate because David took her under his wing ... but, I don't thing she'll go very far...

I'm growing to like Charice . . . after seeing her perform live on Oprah this week. I'm very surprised how her vocals have developed (a bit more mature with an improved sound quality) since I saw her last time on Oprah's show. And to top it all off, how exciting it must be for Charice to be singing with her idol Celine next week in Madison Square Garden. What a thrill! I'm definitely gonna keep my eye on this kid . . .

I work with children (12 year olds) and I have never heard anyone sing like Charice!!!!!!!!!!! No wonder Céline Dion is such a fan!

Thank God David Foster is taken care of her. Just imagine if she would be singer #1138 singing some awful hiphop "song".

I LOVE her voice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-way too overrated

-voice is boring and annoying to listen to

-tries too hard to sound powerful, the movements doesn't look natural to me, looks forced...

-no stage presense

Exactly my thoughts. After seeing that performance, I turned to dislike and maybe even hate her now . I was really impressed the first time I saw her live on Oprah show... but after watching some more clips, I got headache and Celine's FIY saved me

I think she has a great voice for such a young age!

I love how Celine let her have her moment on stage! she gave her the chance to sing with her... and i know celine didnt sing much but they must have rehearsed this performance and i think celine was just being really kind and giving Charice her few mins in the limelight!

Im sorry but i dont like her very much, her voice is annoying, and shes not doing her own thing, she will be dwelling in Celines, Whitneys, Mariahs paths. I cant stand her.

I have heard much better singers, like Esmee Denters, i think thats her name ^_^

Charice pretty much like sang over Celine when they sang a duet. When Celine got louder CHARICE got louder .. ughhh.

Shes overrated ..

When she "belts" it sounds so so so forced, i cant help but cringe.

i don't know what's the reason behind her allegations, but her grandmother is very consistent that their story was faked to get the people's sympathy. i don't know if it's because they feel neglected or what. they make me sick. :sick:

Someone could probably have 1 years of vocal training, and sound better than her.

Her voice is alright, i think of Miley when i hear her .. the straining of the voice is very similar :confused:

She is such an amazing talent. Everytime i hear her sing, I cry. Whether she will be big or small one day is depending on her blessings ( if u dont believe in luck ) and her dedication and hard work etc. Only God knows. Regarding orginality?? Well, she just starts. You just have just known her for a month? or just weeks or days. So lets just wish her the best!

who knows? we have to remember Oprah is one of the most powerful and influencial people around. she can do almost everything. with Oprah Winfrey and David David Foster on her side, i'm telling you she has a great team around her. -_-

I can't believe how hateful some people write about this young girl. With hateful Celine fans, who needs ennemies?

Thank God Céline is such a gentle and loving person. It takes a real star to let such a young girl shine in your own show! I have so much respect for Céline for giving Charice the spotlight all for herself. Of course this is rehearsed. This is not some little *CENSORED* pushing Céline aside.

As for her working with David Foster... why would this be a bad decision? He has made huge stars of Michael Bublé and Josh Groban. David Foster is hotter then ever with a new album on the way!

Why is it that most people in this thread doesn't like Charice? We all know that no one can top Celine. Right? Charice is just starting. She's only 16! Like Celine, when she was trying to make it in the US (how old was Celine when she tried getting into the US?) Anyway, This is another girl, trying to make it in the US too. And hopefully, with the most influential people right by her side, she'll be ok there.

I believe that Charice has a gift of voice and a God-given talent - and truly a voice that will grow with her through the years.

It takes a spark to get the fire going.

Already, the spark is quite powerful, I can't wait to see the fire! :w00t:
