tal-sh2 Posted May 21, 2008 at 02:33 PM Posted May 21, 2008 at 02:33 PM I can't believe how time flyes. This album is one of the greatest ever, Celine bring as always to pure French, with extraordinary music and words. I don't think I could ask for more. Still, everytime I listen to this album from start to end, it feels so good and the songs feels all the time very fresh. It's great to have this album. Love it! Allie Posted May 21, 2008 at 03:42 PM Posted May 21, 2008 at 03:42 PM I love this album...I don't speak much French (I took it for two years in 8th & 9th grade, but dropped it towards the end of 9th because I missed too much due to health issues...you'd think I'd remember more, it's only been a little over a year since I've had it) but I absolutely LOVE this album. Black Kitten Posted May 21, 2008 at 03:50 PM Posted May 21, 2008 at 03:50 PM some of the songs grew on me, finally! Quote
grobandion Posted May 21, 2008 at 05:05 PM Posted May 21, 2008 at 05:05 PM I absolutely LOVE this album. It's my favourite French album, no doubt.I bought it in August, when I finally got it, because it was really hard to get it here.I also love the layout and all the photos, her best work there too. They're so classy saludos Quote
dj4celine Posted May 21, 2008 at 05:31 PM Posted May 21, 2008 at 05:31 PM Call it a coincidence, but I'm listening to the album right now Yes, it's been a year for this magnifique album but also weird to know that Celine's dropped pushing this album. It's definitely one of her BEST albums (and my favourite) but its sadistic how the album fares. Quote

Davey84 Posted May 21, 2008 at 08:54 PM Posted May 21, 2008 at 08:54 PM Oke One Year, One D'Elles... let's resumé: 1 amazing first single, with amazing videoclip and a worthy number 1 position and was finally sung live in Antwerp on May 13th, almost a year after it's release 2 2 great specials, though playback, still some great live surprises3 a nice video for Immensité, didn't do much on the radio, but still it was quit promoted by Céline (Star Ac, Star De L'année), ended up as a b-side on the Taking Chances single... strangly isn't on the current French Setlist4 OMG SURPRISE SURPRISE Finally after nearly 15 years a french song got remixed again, and the remix was even better then the album version à Cause became a third single, with Alone acompaning it, BUT it didn't get a video clip and strangly the a cause performance of Vivent Dimance still hasn't aired... and a physical single never came...On S'est Aimé A Cause also gained some airplay in Canada, but it died a silent death... both songs are neglected on this tour5 Le Paradis, Le Temp Qui Compte were radio singles, if I'm correct, but these songs did nothing Conclusion:One Year WASTED A beautiful album, better then 1F4T IMO was killed because of the lack of promotion, the lack of real singles with real videos and more over total neglection on the current tour. thank you Céline for recording this amazing album for us, it will remain a gem among fans and unknown to the rest of the world... finally a real rarity Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

Jan Posted May 21, 2008 at 09:45 PM Posted May 21, 2008 at 09:45 PM Since this is one of my favourite albums by Céline I did not forget its 1st birthday, of course. Though a year has passed, I can clearly remember how I felt when the album was about to come out in last May. I love the anticipation (that's why I prefer Advent to Christmas) and every minute of excitement seems so sweet in one year's distance... Sorry, I don't want to bore anyone with my memories, so going back to the topic, D'elles is definitely one of Céline's best albums. The lyrics are beautiful, the music is excellent and, in my opinion, Céline's voice is a way better than on 1f&4t, the previous French album. It has a very special atmosphere which I really adore.I also feel sorry for the lack of promotion. Here in Hungary - unsurprisingly - no radio stations played any songs, only one or two magazines and a few websites mentioned that Celine Dion had released a French album. It's such a pity that the rest of the world has not, and probably will never get to know this masterpiece. But we know it, and I feel lucky to have it. Quote
