(Apologies if this is a repeat I did a search and nothing matched the description)

So I've been watching all this fabulous tour footage post South Africa, Australia, and Asian leg of the tour and I was just wondering why we didn't get this amazing high-tech center stage, it really seemed like something to marvel at. Our shows were still absolutely FANTASTIC but I did think it lacked that "grand" showy aspect that the others seemed to have. Not complaining as it was the best night ever but just wondering why it changed after the first leg of the tour?

I don't know exactly but I read that is because of logistics reasons. In Europe more easyer to carry and build the bigger stage and carry on ground than in the air. An another reason is the size and type of the stadiums.

Main reason is logistics and size of the venues. Some are too small.

Main reason is logistics. HOWEVER, I don't think Australia cannot support the in-the-round stage. It doesn't make sense.

Croke Park Stadium which i think is the biggest venue will not have center stage, it seems a shame really because of the 80,000 people that will be there

My shows have the center stage :) It all has to do with the size and shape where it is going to be. That stage won't fit everywhere, unfortunately.

The tour setup includes about twenty LED screens, among them one that will orbit the stage, plus conveyor belts and elevators. Dion pre-recorded a selection of videos for her show. The introduction video shows her driving a car at high-speed, with intermingling images from her career, set to a remix of "I Drove All Night" as the opening of her concert. Another video shows the singer dressed in varying fashions over the years.

Jamie King joined the tour on May 2, 2008 in Manchester, United Kingdom). Before that date, the show wasn't on a central stage (except in Tokyo, Japan and Melbourne, Australia) for logistics reasons. After two and a half months, Dion rehearsed again to perfect the show for the "in the round" setup. Because of Dion's bilingual career and the restrictions of certain arenas and stadiums on the tour, King had to direct and choreograph three separate shows. One show features a set list comprised mostly of English language songs and is performed in the round using the full system of mobile screens, elevators and conveyor belts. A second show also features the center stage arrangement but includes up to ten French language songs for performances in Francophone countries. A third, less complex show is being used where the center stage arrangement would not fit into the venue or where it would be impractical to transport the stage. An end stage setup is used in these cases, and features a massive central video screen and a lighting system that engulfs the stage in brilliant blue and red from above on all three sides.

That´s why............ :)

Thank you very much Bruno. What a shame we didn't get to see it in Australia but is was as you said "much less complex" :( oh well I'll get to see the center stage in LA hopefully :D
