Hey, celine was mentioned in a uk paper today i cant remember what one it was, but it was tlkaing about singers/bands and how much they charge for them to appear at a private function. Celine charges 2.5 million pound... how expensive is that?? think if we put in 20 pound each we cld rasie the money lol?? xx

I've always said if I, by some act of God, happened to come into money I would pay Celine to perform at a private function.

I heard (a long time ago) that somebody paid Michael Jackson (or possibly Sting) a lot of money for a private concert!

I'm sure there would have to be other conditions... I mean she is unlikely to accept £2.5 million to perform in somebody's living room! I guess there would have to be enough reasons to make it worth her while...

iPod Most Played List

The Power Of Love (several versions) - Céline Dion

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Roberta Flack

Si dieu existe - Céline Dion & Claude DuBois

Frankenstein - Antony & the Johnsons

In Some Small Way - Céline Dion

Bird Gerhl - Antony & the Johnsons

Le blues du businessman - Céline Dion

Well.. when u have a voice like hers.. U can charge ANYTHING..

not 'only' £2,5 but £3.3 million

The Rolling Stones Earn £2.7 Million For Performing At A Private Party

by Staff

The Rolling Stones earned a staggering £2.7 million for performing at a private party. The legendary British rockers raked in more than £33,000 per minute for their 80-minute set when they entertained 500 guests at a Deutsche Bank party at Barcelona's Catalan National Art Museum.

Frontman Sir Mick Jagger finished the show by jokingly telling the crowd: "Thank you for having us. The best part is that it is coming out of your bonuses!"

The Rolling Stones - who have previously charged up to £4 million for a private show - aren't the only music stars making a mint from private performances.

American band The Eagles charge £3.75 million, while Canadian singer Celine Dion can earn £3.3 million for a private show.

My friend and I play the 'if you won the lotto, what would you do with the money' game A LOT. Police officers and paramedics don't earn a whole lot so it sure would come in handy!! Anyway, after I've taken care of paying mortgages etc, my frivolous spend would be a private concert from Celine....and of course, I would invite anyone who could get to London from the forum. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

2.5 million GBP??? (3.1 million EUR / 4.9 million USD)

LOOOL, a bit over my budget...

If I had the money lets say I would be willing to pay about 25 to 100.000 EUR at most for a private gig but not a eurocent more...

Ok, there is roughly 18,000 members on this forum....if we all gave £139.00 each, we could afford the 2.5 million fee, and have celine do a concert for members of this board, how cool would that be, lol....

But which country and stadium could accomodate everyone,lol... :rolleyes1:

(Listen to me as if its going to happen, lmao...) doh! :bonk:

Thats a great idea! we should so do that...but then if 18,000 people came it rather defeats the whole object of an intimate peformance lol

My plan is to invite Celine and family round for dinner, since she and Rene love indian food, that way we can mingle, and sing along together for free.

Now thats what i call a plan!!!

My sis took a gift for celine when we went to the O2, put a note inside with our telephone number, and email address.. Waiting for 'Hi its Celine here..' down the mobile any day now..
