TWINQUIN Posted May 17, 2008 at 09:55 PM Posted May 17, 2008 at 09:55 PM Hey, celine was mentioned in a uk paper today i cant remember what one it was, but it was tlkaing about singers/bands and how much they charge for them to appear at a private function. Celine charges 2.5 million pound... how expensive is that?? think if we put in 20 pound each we cld rasie the money lol?? xx Quote
tonybower Posted May 17, 2008 at 10:00 PM Posted May 17, 2008 at 10:00 PM I've always said if I, by some act of God, happened to come into money I would pay Celine to perform at a private function. I heard (a long time ago) that somebody paid Michael Jackson (or possibly Sting) a lot of money for a private concert! I'm sure there would have to be other conditions... I mean she is unlikely to accept £2.5 million to perform in somebody's living room! I guess there would have to be enough reasons to make it worth her while... The legendary British rockers raked in more than £33,000 per minute for their 80-minute set when they entertained 500 guests at a Deutsche Bank party at Barcelona's Catalan National Art Museum.Frontman Sir Mick Jagger finished the show by jokingly telling the crowd: "Thank you for having us. The best part is that it is coming out of your bonuses!"The Rolling Stones - who have previously charged up to £4 million for a private show - aren't the only music stars making a mint from private performances.
