Well, Celine is one the road since 4 months right now and I guess that each of us has his/her own idea about the Taking Chances show. I'd like to know how you clearly feel about it. I mean, are you still pissed with the tickets price, are you disappointed by the show in its shape, design. Do the articles that we have had earlier clearly reflect what it is now, did you imagine that it would be so...

To answer to this poll, you've got to consider everything from the costumes to Celine's attitude and costumes, and voice, and moves, and... Well, e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g that makes the show.

I'll be giving my opinion later. So, please let's choose an answer now and explain.

Thanks! ^_^

Okay, I was totally amazed.

When tickets first went on sale I was not at all happy. I expected them to be expensive but €205 for category 1 in France was ridiculous.

Secondly, when the tour first started and people were posting info about the set list, I had my doubts. I didn't want to hear TLYM in playback, or LCMM for the tenth billion time!

And with all the questions surrounding Celine's voice, and recent dependence on playback, I began to fear that I had wasted my money and was going to be sorely disappointed...

Nothing could be further from the truth...

Seeing Celine live again after all these years and after my disappointment in Vegas when the show was cancelled, I was blown away. I was mesmerised. Her vocals are in top condition and there is much more emotion in her delivery these days. Even the playback songs were impressive to watch. I was with a friend who can't tolerate playback and even she didn't have a bad word against Celine.

Celine looked truly fantastic. She is so beautiful. Much more so than on TV or in photographs. She is incredible. On some nights I couldn't see the stage cause I was too close and in London I felt too far away... but none of that mattered. Once Celine started singing, everything else stopped being important. If she had been sat on a stool the whole time wearing a pair of jeans and t-shirt with her hair tied back, I would have paid the money all over again just to be there. She was amazing.

As for the set, well I didn't notice that she didn't sing some of my favourites, but then again I hardly expected her to really sing Call The Man or Le blues du businessman. I was so happy to hear All By Myself, Fade Away and My Love live and, of course, after all these years, it was a dream come true to hear Celine sing Think Twice again. Taking Chances sounded fantastic and, believe it or not, I even enjoyed LCMM.

Now that two weeks have passed, I am starting to question the song choices again, and ask myself if these shows are as slick and flawless as Celine's earlier shows (ACDS, Live in Memphis etc) but that's easy with hindsight. Anyone can criticise, and if you think too much you will always find something to complain about.

But I prefer to follow my initial feelings. And when I was in the arena in Manchester that night I was mesmerised. I was so glad to have spent the money on the other tickets and to be able to do it all again. I even bought my friends' tickets so I have spent a lot of money. But I wouldn't change it for the world.

And I would do it all again tomorrow if I had to...

The concert ends too fast. I think they want to finish it as soon as possible. And Celine doesn't talk much like the LTAL tour. I think the show misses something.

I also noticed that she didn't talk often. As she always do in past concert. I hope it's someone decision not hers. :(

although, the ticket including P+P was close on £100 and i was disappointed that Celine did three or four songs straight after the other without talking, i.e. TLYM, BYLM, IACBTMN, POL.....i was still totally amazed :P

I was totally amazed about the design, her outfits and especially the fact that Céline's voice still is in topform.

And I haven't even seen it live yet... :)

I like many other fans, where prepared to pay my money and await my time for when our 'Queen Celine' graised us with her presence!

I absolutley loved the show at the O2 Arena on may 6th, she blew me away!

She was on top form and she looked absolutley amazing.

Her voice was tremendous (as always), the band was great and her dancers added that extra pizazz!

I do agree with a few of the other comments though, In the fact that the crowd interaction was not that full on, a 2 minute speech to all of us fans would have meant the world to us all, without really throwing the show out much!

But then again, most off us have fallen in love with her powerful voice, and she did deliver that PERFECTLY :)

Totally amazed.

This was my first Celine concert and hopefully it won't be my last. She was perfect in every way and I was so not disappointed. She far exceeded my expectations and it was just incredible.

I am totally amazed! :kicking: I only wished she sang more new songs, but I couldn't vote anything else other than "totally amazing", just because of this. I didn't get to see Celine's other tours live (only on DVD), my first time seeing her was in Vegas. But that was more a show than a concert. Now I've seen her in Paris, and it's a totally different thing, it has that amazing concert atmosphere, I just love it. I couldn't choose between Vegas and Taking Chances Tour, cause it's a different thing to begin with, I just think they're both amazing.

This was a first for me to see Celine on Tour but I did see her 5 times in Vegas. I flew to London to be with my best friend so we could see her together. I loved the show on May 6 but something was missing from Celine and that was her interacting with the audience. Her voice, costumes, "giving it her all" was most definately there but she's a person so maybe she had an off day on that night which is why she didn't talk much or interact with the audience but it doesn't really matter in the end. I was soooooo impressed with her costume changes and the set list. I cannot gripe about anything Celine does because in my mind she is the world's perfect performer and singer. She continues to amaze me with her love of fans and energy she gives off. Celine is truly a one-of-a-kind performer and deserves prasie from her fans!

Hmm, this is a tricky one. ^_^ Of coruse, just seeing Céline is amazing to me on an emotional level no matter what. That side of me would be satisfied if she was performing dressed in a potato sack, haha. I have to say I STILL find the tickets rediculously costly. I know she hasn't toured for nine years and I'm happy that that generates such a "craving" for her. But still. As for the stage design and all of that, I love, love, LOVE the opening video! When you see all the dates of the tour flash by and then that /tonight/ce soir.....(*insert city of choice*) I get goosebumps every single time. The stage design is fantastic, and although I "should" find the treadmill thing over-the-top and too much, I love it. A stage in the round is a brilliant idea that helps justify the high ticket price at least somewhat and I love the ramp as well and how people on that side always stand up and go crazy when she walks out on it. It shwos she's been in Vegas and "got used" to a bigger setting and performance as she hasn't had dancers on tour before. I don't know who she is but I am absolutely MESMERIZED by the african-American female dancer with the shaved head. I couldn't take my eyes off her, she's so strong and has so much charisma. I love all Céline's costume changes and I love the fact that the backup-singers are dressed in streamlined, classy black. If anything, I miss them and the band being properly introduced...the "Le Ballet" version is still the best band introduction ever done. The virtual screen effects during "Alone" are absolutely magnificent and the photoshoot sequence before "I'm Alive" is a great one as well. As for the setlist, I ADORE the French one. Hearing 15 000 people sing to SISDA and PQTME is an absolutely orgasmic experience and there's so much emotion. As for the English set list, I'm not sure what to say as I only went to Sweden (apart from France) and the Swedish one was slightly altered considering there were two songs on the TC album written and produced by Swedes. She did BCYLM which I'm very happy with but I would have rather she switched "Fade Away" for Think Twice -although I appreciate the sentiment. ;) But she did A Song For You so I forgive her, haha. :P

I loved almost EVERYTHING about the concert. The centre stage was absolutely fantastic, I really loved the treadmills and elevators etc. The intro and interval videos were very well made and kept the audience excited. The new costumes that I got to see in Manchester were far better than the old ones, and the dancers were very good too.

However:

I can understand her lipping IDAL so she can warm up, but surely she can sing (most of) TPOL live? I mean I wouldn't really care if last note was lipped but she is perfectly capable of singing the rest of it. I am really confused as to why she has lipped everything after 'Cos I'm Your Lady' since ~1996...

The only other thing that annoyed me was the fact that MHWGO was completely lipped! It's the same playback she used throughout A New Day. Why?? She hits far higher notes live in RDMH (the song before MHWGO) so why can't she sing this one live? It just seems silly!

That's all.

I saw Céline in Finland in June 9th, and it was everything I had expected and MORE! It was the best night of my life so far, something I'll never forget..

First, I have to say that when the ticket prices were announced, I wasn't surprised, and I haven't thought even once nor complained to anyone that "my god the price is high". I don't know, I'm not rich at all, I even had to borrow money for the ticket back then, but it's Céline, how could you expect any lower price. B) She's such a big star and the prices in Vegas weren't so cheap either I think. It annoyed me so much (during this spring) when every time there was some discussion about this concert (with the family or other people), someone always had to point up the price of the ticket.. "Weren't the tickets very expensive.. How much were the tickets, quite expensive right?".. Well, it's your own business how to use your money I think. :P

I had never really believed I could see Céline one day, I considered it as impossible, something that could never happen to me! So it was unbelievable to realize it was actually happening, after 10 years of hoping and waiting... I had very high expectations for the concert, and it really fulfilled them all! I liked the song selection, it was amazing to hear all those big hits live at last, songs you know by heart and have listened to and watched on tape for years and years.. When the band started to appear from "inside" the ground, I felt so great, in other concerts I've been to, I've never known the band, just the singer, but now I knew them all too! ^_^ And when Céline appeared... Just chills and chills.. I just kept thinking that there she is now, she's real, this woman I adore so much, with whom I've sort of grown and spent the half of my life.. I felt so emotional and couldn't help smiling and laughing! :in_love:

I liked all the dress changes that she made, though the pink one was my favourite. ^_^ The show that the backup dancers kept on while she was changing was cool too! It was awesome when I'm Alive started and was then followed by Shadow of Love and Fade Away, I was so excited and felt like I wanted to fly! :D And though Love Can Move Mountains has never had any special meaning for me (though it's a great song for sure!) I was so happy that she sang that too, because it's been there in her concerts for always (and I think it's special for Céline), so the concert felt like "completed" with Love Can Move Mountains. ^_^

I also adored so much that she spoke some Finnish! Sure some artists learn to say "thank you", but not all, and she said a few words more too! I had wondered if she would say "thank you" in Finnish, but I still was amazed when she did, and asked "how do you do", and wished a nice evening to us too in Finnish. I appreciated that very much! :in_love:

If there was one thing missing, that was A New Day Has Come, the one song I had really wanted to hear but that wasn't sung after all.. I had been so sure it would have to be on the setlist. But it was a tiny tiny disappointment, you can't always have it all.

The best show and the best night ever!! ^_^

I was also a little disappointed that she didn`t talk as much as I had expected. But other than that the show was awesome! I had waited for it so long but it was worth the wait. No doubt about it.

I voted Not Great Not Bad because of the show as a package and not just Celine! Celine was great apart from the lipped tracks. The stage and effects were poor in comparison to other stars I've seen and much smaller than Celine. Costumes and dancers were amazing. Tracklist was what I expected, and the concert made me really fall in love with My Love as I previously hated the song. Tickets were pricey but I would definitely go again... that's the way it is lol! :)

I thought I replied to this, but it seems I didn't lol...I was totally amazed by the whole experience.

I honestly didn't care about the stage or anything...I barely even noticed it because my eyes were on Celine the whole time :)

I loved the song choices- I know some people are sick of hearing the songs she's been singing for years, and I can understand that, but for some people, like me, it seems kind of necessary- I've been listening to those songs my whole life and it just made sense that she would be singing them when I finally saw her in person.

It was kind of hard to care about the prices once I got there. I used practically all my savings on it, but I figured, it's Celine- the one I've loved and dreamed of seeing every day for years! I can always earn more money, but who knows how rare the opportunities to see her will be.

The lip synching thing doesn't bother me either. If it was the whole concert, that'd be a bit wrong, but a few songs...whatever. I don't even want to know which ones were lipped...we know she can sing and her performance was amazing. Besides, just about every artist does it every now and then!

I think it would've been nice if she'd talked more, because she really only did the one speech type thing, but it's ok. I think I'm the only person on Earth who didn't enjoy the whole "My Love" thing. I just hate seeing her get emotional like that...I was sitting there thinking "please Celine, do not cry, because if you do, I will, and I won't ever stop!" It seems to have become a highlight of the show for a lot of people though, so I guess it's there to stay!

The concerts I went to were my first and second time seeing her...so I was just kind of in awe, and I wasn't going to let anything ruin the moments by wishing things were different. I was just praying, literally, that I wouldn't freak out...I was worried I'd be kind of numb and feel no emotions and remember nothing later! But thankfully that didn't happen. I honestly think God was helping me through it, because I've never been so overwhelmed as I was that weekend LOL!

 OMG how can you NOT love that performance! To me, it's not only the highlight of the show, but one of her most magnificent moments ever. I love seeing her emotional, real, genuine, because it's so rare in showbusiness today to get someone like her who's honest and wears their heart on their sleeve at all times. It's one of the many things I love the most about her. Sure, it made me cry (a LOT...the first two nights I was proper sobbing, even -especially during the second night where she fell down on her knees straight in front of me. I wasn't in front row, but still...seeing her face like that was so emotional) but I loved it. It's a very, very special moment and I will never forget it.

I also feel so incredibly fortunate to have been able to see her perform A Song For You live. Unlike most people on here, I absolutely adore the song. I do tend to gravitate towards her darker/sadder/more depressing stuff and since those qualities are quite rare in her music, ASFY instantly stood out to me the first time I listened to the album. It has a very special, very significant feeling about it and so it's not a song I put on every day...I need to be in a certain mood. I agree with René: it is the diamond of the album and so I only ever take it out on special occasions. After having seen her record it, I feel even more privileged to have been there during a moment that was designed especially for us that night, a moment she wouldn't be doing on any of the other shows on the tour. A moment that we already knew was very special to her but that you could SEE was one of her most emotional performances ever. She was so into it, she LIVED in that song with her entire being. For those three minutes...*shakes head* I don't know...it's hard to explain but I just had a feeling I was witnessing something very rare, very true, and very, VERY private. It was amazing.

I didn't film this but it captures everything so well. She was so emotional after this, around 4:50 especially. She talked a little bit about not writing ehr own songs as well and I think it was a very honest moment; straight from the heart. You could almost tell how much all that talk of her not writing on her own had upset her, but this was a perfect moment and a perfect example for her to showcase why. You have to remember this was all right after "My Love" so she was way, wayy emotional already. After this....anyone who doesn't love this song (or at least this performance of it) needs to grow a heart.

I do have a heart...that's why I don't like it! I can't stand to see somebody I love get upset and emotional like that. Don't get me wrong, it's a great song, and I love that Celine is genuine...that's why I'm here and not on some other artists forum :) I just can't understand why she would want to sing a song every night when it's emotionally painful for her to do so. I can't stand seeing her cry, it makes me sad.

I paid 125pounds to see her in a front row in Birmingham and flew from Bangkok,Thailand just to see her but what I've got is she lipsyning in many of het hits that I expected her to nail them all LIVE! Those song such as It's all coming back to me now,To Love You More The Power Of Love and all of my dream were destoyed when she mimed the song like My Heart Will Go On,her signatured song.It hurt me so much when she did that cause all the trip and all the money that I spent is just to hear her glorious voice through that song.I think I can just go to Silom or Pattaya and see the drag who dress up and look just like her doing the same thing that she did, miming with her voice pre recording and spend all the money for that trip on the suite room of the 5 stars hotel in Pattaya instead of flying all the way to UK,so dissapointing!! Celine please stop your mimming it made you have a bad reputation!! Do u wanna be like Britney Spears or Mariah Carey? Beautiful outfits, video or beautiful stage isn't enough to build the royalty fans!!!!

I was absolutely blown away by Celine's performance! I loved her outfit, the dancers and of course the amazing voice!

As far as the songlist goes, she'd have to sing about 40 of them if she wanted to sing all of my favorites, hehe :D But the ones that we got were OK and a bunch of my favorites were there! I just wish she had sang more French songs, but I guess she doesn't know that they were/are very popular in Poland too.

My opinion is known and clear.I loved the whole thing!!!I can't find anything dissapointing.I loved it .That's it.It's because that it was how i was expecting it.Nothing more ,nothing less.My dream was to see Celine live.Just only to see her and listen her singing. My dream was only that. I had never cared about the stage, the tracklist etc....
