Hi everyone. After a long two days of rushing about mad i'm finally back home from my trip to see Celine's final show in Paris. I also managed to go to Disneyland today which was superb. Ok, so onto the show review.

 

Firstly, having never experienced a Parisien crowd before I can safely say they are up there with the most passionate fans I've seen anywhere in the world, and Bercy is a quite stunning concert location. I'm confident I'll never experience another concert atmosphere like this in my life again, it was just electric from start to finish!!! The set list was exactly the same as the previous night but from Rene taking his seat, to the band walking to the stage, to the support act, to Celine nailing every single song this was just about the perfect concert!! Heck, even "We Will Rock You" had something going for it last night!!!

 

Honestly though, Celine's vocals were just amazing and never have I seem a crowd get into every single song of a show. Here they did. There was something a bit surreal about sitting in France and hearing the entire crowd sing along to "Taking Chances." There were numerous standing ovations and Celine seemed genuinely moved by all of them particularly the 5 minute one prior to "My Love."

 

Overall though, a truly stunning concert experience and ultimately the set list was absolutely perfect, along with the fans and most of all Celine.

I attended this concert and it was simply perfect...

Celine was beautiful, generous and on top form!

I was sat right near the ramp where she sings S'il suffisait d'aimer and I couldn't take my eyes off her... She was so close and I felt like I was in a dream...

 

I was also sat opposite the corner of the stage so whenever she sang to our side of the crowd it felt almost like she was singing directly to me and it was just perfect...

 

I really hope I can make it to Nice in July because I don't know what I'll do if this was my last show... I have been six times now and each time I think I might have satisfied my Celine appetite it just comes back even bigger! I want to go to Canada and the US but it will never happen!

 

Still, I'm extremely happy I made it to three of the Paris shows. The 19th was fantastic because Celine seemed excited to be on stage... on the 25th the crowd was great and I was so close to Celine when she sang My Love... and even though I was sat alone on the 27th surrounded by people who refused to move, clap or sing along I was just happy to have such a fantastic view of the stage and Celine. At certain points I was the only one standing and clapping in my section! The people in front of me did not move once, the couple to my left barely broke a smile and the whole row behind me did not move. I understand not wanting to dance but why people can't show their appreciation or at least pretend to be enjoying themselves having spent so much money on tickets is quite beyond me. I was determined not to let it spoil the night... I managed to get a glimpse of Rene and Luc Plamondon, I met some fantastic people (Tracy, Mary, Marco, Diana, Tam and Shaun) and the show was fantastic... All By Myself and My Love were incredible and the new I'm Alive never fails to make me smile. It's amazing to hear Je sais pas and Destin live after all these years and as for the rest of the show... perfection! During J'irais ou tu iras, Celine did some typical jig with her legs and seemed to look straight into my eyes when she did it...

 

I just loved every second of it and envy everyone who still has concerts to look forward to!

The show has ended at 10.45, I was back at home 25mn laters, I got back by walking under a heavy rain but there was such a smile on my face!!!

The show tonight was AMAZING.

I already saw it last monday but tonight was really different. Well, I sat in front of where Mégo and the backgroung singers stand and I was in the firts rows above the place where the sound engineers work. I enjoyed it so, so much!! Last week, I was happy. Tonight I am.......mora than that, I just can't describe it! Céline was terrific, she was moved, she was funny, she was always sincere.

I saw René getting to his seat, that was funny.

Excuse me if my english is pretty bad tonight, it's hard for me to concentrate!!!!

 

 

I do agree and I was sitting behind René. I had a VIP ticket because I went to the sound check before.

hi folks, still travelling in France, but will be home in 2 days & will get a review & pics up then. Thx to those of you who met with Mary & I. We had such a beautiful Celine day & night! I got a nice pic of Rene & an even better one with his son Michel. Saw Celine outside George V (have pics) & almost touched her as she was exiting at end of concert, but fell on a woman's back instead...oops!
