beautyroses Posted May 14, 2008 at 09:43 AM Posted May 14, 2008 at 09:43 AM (edited) these days topics about singles are so hotI think A new day has come is the most oppressed celine album,And it never reached it's potentials because of bad singles, what are the singles you preferd for this album1-A new day has come:because of celine love for the song2-When the wrong one loves you right (proofs that Celine is not only a balladier)3-I surrender (such a powerful song)4-Have you ever been in love(soft song for all time),but not with Celine look like that iin the video5-I'm alive Edited May 14, 2008 at 09:44 AM by beautyroses Quote http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac137/Venus_1982/new1.jpgAngel of My World[/i]
Attendais Posted May 14, 2008 at 10:16 AM Posted May 14, 2008 at 10:16 AM I'm not sure if I changed the singles. In my opinion, album reached the top and it was quite successful... and I like the singles that Sony picked. grobandion Posted May 14, 2008 at 11:47 AM Posted May 14, 2008 at 11:47 AM Sony LatinAmerica chose "A new day has come", "I'm alive" and "Aun existe amor". I kinda agree with those, and the album did pretty well around here, all in all.I wouldn't change them. If there was going to be another one, I would have added "I surrender", and "Have you ever been in love", because ballads as wonderful like those always success here in Latin America. Saludos Quote
beautyroses Posted May 14, 2008 at 12:00 PM Author Posted May 14, 2008 at 12:00 PM yeah,I agree with singles, but I think we needed more like "I surrender"the only singles that I don't like is "goodbye the saddest word" Quote http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac137/Venus_1982/new1.jpgAngel of My World[/i]
sasa2 Posted May 14, 2008 at 04:40 PM Posted May 14, 2008 at 04:40 PM I think that Sony picked good singles for this album! if i add others tracks, it will be "when the wrong one loves you right" and "ten days"! Quote
beautyroses Posted May 14, 2008 at 05:37 PM Author Posted May 14, 2008 at 05:37 PM yes ten days I forgot that, such an amazing song Quote http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac137/Venus_1982/new1.jpgAngel of My World[/i]
bfhb Posted May 14, 2008 at 06:46 PM Posted May 14, 2008 at 06:46 PM A New Day Has Come (Richie Jones & Chris Panaghi Club Mix Radio Edit)...get the mixes out early and create a buzzz great first single love love love it!I SurrenderRight In Front Of YouSorry for lovethe greatest rewardi would have loved to see how those songs would have performed in the charts ....had they been properly promoted of course Quote love doesn't ask whyspeaks from the heart and never explainsdont you know that love doesn't think twiceit can come all at once or whisper from a distance
Javito Posted May 14, 2008 at 07:35 PM Posted May 14, 2008 at 07:35 PM I agree with the first two singles, but not with GTSW (though the videoclip was a masterpiece, the best she has done next to IWCT ) I would have chosen also Right In Front Of You and When The Wrong One Loves You Right, both of them with some cool remixes Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Black Kitten Posted May 14, 2008 at 11:42 PM Posted May 14, 2008 at 11:42 PM almost 1 month before ANDHC was released, our local radio stations are already playing Have You Ever Been in Love. so technically, it's not the title track that carried the album here, it's HYEBIL. however, ANDHC got a very poor promotion here during its release. i have no idea if the album was also certified here since the only song that helped the album is HYEBIL, which is a moderate hit. GTSW was released only to music channels, but ignored by the radio. this goes to show that 2002 was the start of her decline here. Quote
rhaps Posted May 15, 2008 at 02:30 AM Posted May 15, 2008 at 02:30 AM agree with you denna. coz i haven't heared ANDHC being played on local radios in my province. only HYEBIL. i believe that album deserves more than what it accomplished. Quote

If HYWBIL was already being promoted in 2002 for ANDHC album in certain countries, why the hell did Sony Music include the song again on One Heart in 2003 and whats worse, release it as a single??? As time passes by, I understand less and less this recording company called Sony Music Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

As time passes by, I understand less and less this recording company called Sony Music during ANDHC era, i was barely 16 years old and completely unaware of what's going on with her latest album (official single, videos, chart performance etc...). i was a bit shocked when i learned that the next year HYEBIL is also a part of One Heart, so i automatically guessed that HYEBIL is huge worldwide and that led Sony Music to include the song again "due to public demand", but i was wrong. i never knew that HYEBIL was never heard in america, until One Heart came out. but after HYEBIL, our local radio stations completely ignored the follow up singles from ANDHC. celine regain airplay again when sony released STAND BY YOUR SIDE as the carrier single off ONE HEART here. pretty weird that IDAN was never played in our stations (though the video received a moderate rotation in MTV PILIPINAS & MYX). and as expected, after a few months, the album died. how i wish ANDHC was given a shot here like FIY & LTAL.
