Wax statue for René Angelil with Celine at Grevin wax museum

WOW!! awesome pics! Its easy to tell which Celine is real but with Rene is a little harder. Also to see a change in costume on Celine's is great.I agree with you guys.. they could do some work on Celine's statue to make a bit more life-like.

Forgive me..i dont know if I've been living under a rock or just forgot... what happened to the statue of Celine that was at the Colesseum?

I think so! When I e-mailed the Grevin they told me the outfit the waxwork used to wear from the LTAL tour was the real thing, so I don't suppose there's any reason this one isn't now that it's no longer being used.

There's soemthing that feels...not right with Céline's. I can't put my finger on it but it's just not "her". The one of René is absolutely brilliant though, spot on.

Oh my gods... Daaamn but does Rene's statue look scarily real. I couldn't tell them apart! I think I would be utterly terrified if someone constructed a wax statue of me, especially that accurately! I agree that Celine's face and facial expression needs to be fixed. She looks kinda vacant and the real Celine is anything but vacant!

Maybe because Céline doesn't want to force him into stupid, outdated gender roles that force our kids to be a specific way? Or, maybe he just doesn't want to cut it.

Celine has mentioned many toimes that the reason she isnt cutting RC's hair is for two reasons:

 

1) He doesnt want it cut

 

2) Shr brother had long hair whilst growing up and her father didnt like it so he shaved it all off when her mom wasnt there. She said ehr mom cried for days, her dad had made her brother something he didnt want to be and upset him and it wasnt even important, it didnt change the person he was inside, her dad was just ashamed of him having long her.

So I suppose it's partly for her mom too.

Yeah, sometimes she touches on the subject but never really talks too much about it...I have only heared her talking about it properly once...on an interview somewhere...I cant rememeber. I just remember it been really emotional for her...I guess because she loves her dad so much and this was after he had died, so maybe she thought she was betraying him by saying that she didnt feel what he had done was the right thing. Kinda shallow of really, but she has never said another bad word about him...to my knowledge. I think thats the only thing thats ever really upset her...maybe why she cares so much about it!?? I dont know! lol!
