carthal Posted May 3, 2008 at 07:20 AM Posted May 3, 2008 at 07:20 AM "Ridiculous voice"? This person is crazy. i think the "ridiculous" is irony or a superlative word to describe sumthin.he dserves a punch on the face if he really mean ridiculous as ridiculuous. Quote
CyberCat Posted May 3, 2008 at 08:17 AM Posted May 3, 2008 at 08:17 AM I do not understand what the writer means by "ridiculous voice".I have some friends educated in music and all of them really apprecieate and amazed by Celine's voice talent. Quote
bfhb Posted May 3, 2008 at 01:32 PM Posted May 3, 2008 at 01:32 PM i took it that he meant rediculously talented voice and not as an insult....as over all it was quite favourable Quote love doesn't ask whyspeaks from the heart and never explainsdont you know that love doesn't think twiceit can come all at once or whisper from a distance
CelineHayatiAna Posted May 4, 2008 at 03:56 AM Posted May 4, 2008 at 03:56 AM celine always in my heart Quote
rhaps Posted May 4, 2008 at 04:03 AM Posted May 4, 2008 at 04:03 AM quite a very good article to read. eventhough it didn't mention anything when it comes to how she sells aside from saying the best selling...it really nice since from the four of them, she's the only one with a complete set of hapiness....i mean, i good career, a good album sales, and a very happy family life. Your_Su_Phu Posted May 4, 2008 at 04:08 AM Posted May 4, 2008 at 04:08 AM context ppl....the section on celine couldn't have been more positive. although obviously ridiculous may be a strange adjective to use in a positive way Quote

leenylover Posted May 4, 2008 at 09:37 PM Posted May 4, 2008 at 09:37 PM Very interesting read! I agree that all of these Divas deserve respect for what they have brought to the music industry and entertainment in general. They are trully inspirational women, who have ALL worked hard to get where they got. They are all very different though, and appreciated by their fans for different reasons, that's why there is sometimes conflict. They are good at what they do, and each have a unique skill different to the others, so in that respect, each group of fans is correct when they insist their Diva is the best. They are the best at what it is they do. I liked what he said about Celine, I don't think she plays it too safe, she just does what she does, if she tried to do anything else it wouldn't be Celine. I wouldn't say the way she behaves is without risk. I frequently cringe that what she has done at times could easily make her the subject of ridicule, and sadly, it ususally does, but she doesn't need to hold back. She does nothing wrong and people just need to get over themselves! The only part I would disagree with there is the love of Whitneys live performance. I find it very frustrating and wish that she could just sing a song without the need to put a twenty note flourish into every single syllable! She generally races through an entire line, just to enable her to make the end phrase sound like she swallowed a jack hammer! I love her studio recordings, but it seems like when she is in the studio is the only time they can restrain her vocals! The same goes for Aretha! I know these ladies can sing the hell out of a song and that they have the most flexible voices ever, but do they really have to do that all the time? Sometimes less is more! Thanks for posting it,very interesting! Quote My List of Celine Dion stuff, PM me to trade!
