Help with my iPod

When you download from the iTunes Store, you get the cover along with the songs. But, when you upload a CD onto an iPod, you don't get the cover, but you get a gray box with a musical note. Is there anyway to insert a cover into that album so the songs all have covers, using iTunes or something? Any help is appreciated Edited April 29, 2008 at 11:31 PM by Lymon

You can let iTunes add cover for your mp3 auto if you have an iTunes account. Or you could drag a cover pic manually into iTunes for your mp3.

I find the CD I want on Amazon and copy the photo onto my computer and then into iTunes. In iTunes, highlight the CD you want to add the pic into, right click and choose "Get info" and then select the Artwork tab. Click Add and there you go - easy peasy! Edited April 30, 2008 at 12:09 PM by WendyB

I'm having a different problem with mine...I have the album artwork in my iTunes, but when I turn my iPod on, the artwork isn't there. I've put all my Celine cd's on my iPod and I'm so frustrated because I can't get the album art to my iPod...I've tried everything I know.

have u transferred pics to ur ipod??? check on the photos page when u hook ur ipod up and see if u have synched them....might help

Sync your iPod with iTunes music library, if you are sure your iTunes library has everything and cover art.

I just did it the long and boring way...I "drag n dropped" album art into EVERY SINGLE song...

I am so sick of iPod...

 

So, every time I open iTunes by plugging in my iPod I would always get a pop up about updating to iTunes 7.6 or whatever, so I decided today I would do it...go and go through the whole entire damn thing, and then it doesn't work at all. It won't even let me access my iPod at all...what the hell do I do?!!? Does anyone know? I'm about to just delete the whole thing off my computer.

I'm having the same problem Kim had with hers a while back. None of the covers are showing up on my iPod.

 

1. I checked every song, and there is a cover on every single song.

 

2. I've synched it multiple times, and they still don't show up.

 

What's going on?

If you have a nano, one thing that helps is:

 

1) Toggle the "Hold" button

2) after that hold the middle button and the play/pause button down at the same time, until it restarts.

 

Works everytime for me, especially when it freezes.

Is freezing a common problem with iPods?

 

I have a nano and if ever I skip through tracks too quickly or if it just wants to be difficult, my iPod freezes. When this happens I have no choice but to let the battery die and then charge it again because nothing else seems to work. This can be highly frustrating, especially if it decides to freeze at the start of a long journey and when you have all your playlists set out perfectly...

 

It seems to happen more frequently now but it actually started only a couple of months after I bought the iPod. Is it dodgy or can this happen to any iPod?

Mine has only done it once, so I'm not sure why yours would a lot...

I might do that... though I probably should have done it twelve months ago...!

I wonder how long the warranty lasts...

Then again... they probably don't even make my iPod anymore! Like with my mobile and digital camera... you have it for five minutes and suddenly it's outdated... you find it for half the price a week later...

 

Maybe it's time I upgraded...?

I'm not sure how long the regular warranty is on them, I bought a 2 yr extended warranty on mine
