I agree with you... I think that no one sings this song better than Celine! And I will dare say that Celine's version is much better than the first version by Eric Carmen!

 

Like many of us, I have seen many different people on American Idol and other shows perform All By Myself. Some people manage to perform the song decently and others make me wish they had never attempted the song. And I have also seen some very good renditions. Sometimes singers should take chances, but as the judges on American Idol have said, if anyone tries to sing a Celine song, then he or she better do it justice, as Celine is very hard to top and out perform. Besides, a person's vocal prowess and skill should be extraordinary to tackle certain songs.

 

Although Regine Velasquez has done a good rendition, I think that the cover by Leona Lewis actually does Celine some justice. Leona's version is very clean and elegant. This song does showcase Leona's vocal abilities and was able to ad-lib very well. I also believe that Leona has great vocal talent and she is setting the bar and standards for upcoming singers.

I couldn't agree more

Leona lewis I think one of the most talented new singers if not the best

and she is realy good even in her own songs I never liked a whole album of an artest other Celine before

but spirit does it for me

 

but actually I don't like her version of all by myself

don't get me wrong she is the best in that list but her low note were very I don't know annoying

I mean when I listen to her version I can't help myself but to speed it to the high note

 

I think Latoya London did a wonderful jop with the low notes

LOL, this is funny because when I was in the Philippines, I was zooming through the music store, and Jonalyn's CD struck me. So I bought it, and I've really enjoyed some of her songs, including her Tagalog ones
