Remove A Song Discussion

We love Celine's albums this is true. There are the songs many are automatically drawn to more than others. For me songs such as "I Feel Too Much," "Then You Look At Me," "Your Light," "Christmas Eve," "Dans un autre monde," and "Fade Away" are a few to mention.

 

However, there are those songs that spark no emotion in me, I don't connect with, or I simply feel don't belong on the album they appear on. With that said which song - one song - on each of Celine's albums do you feel should have been left off and either remained that way or replaced with something else?

 

Here are a few of mine:

 

Unison

The song "I'm Loving Every Moment With You" is a very forgettable track to me. To be honest I don't remember most of the lyrics or even the melody. I strongly feel something else should have taken its place on this English debut of Celine's.

 

Falling Into You

"Declaration Of Love" should have been replaced with "Your Light." "Your Light" was much more innovative and radio-friendly. DOL doesn't do a thing for me.

 

One Heart

Not a very hard decision here. "Have You Ever Been In Love" should NEVER have found its way onto this album - PERIOD! Recycling a track that was already available on every version of a previous album, especially the album before the one it was recycled onto, is a horrible marketing decision. Not only does it cheapen an album by making it less full of new material, but it also makes it appear as a rush job with no heart put into.

only 1? it's pretty hard but i'll try:

 

UNISON- i don't agree with what u said that I'm Loving Every Moment With You is forgettable. i actually know each word of that song and the chorus is very catchy. i'd rather take the song I Feel Too Much and Love By Another Name out. too loud for my ears and cheesy lyrics. but if i have to pick only 1, it's Love By Another Name.

 

Celine Dion- A Litttle Bit of Love all the way! perfect example of a filler.

 

The Colour of My Love- Real Emotion probably. don't like it.

 

Falling into You- NONE! every song is a masterpiece!

 

Let's Talk About Love- lots of songs in here.. Immortality, Treat Her Like a Lady, Tell Him, Amar Haciendo El Amor, I Hate You Then I Love You. one of her weakest albums. ayt kill me! LOL!

 

All the Way... A Decade of Song- The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. just plain BORING!

 

A New Day Has Come- Rain Tax, Ten Days, At Last, Super Love, Nature Boy. filler!

 

One Heart- with the exception of HYEBIN & SFL, i don't normally don't listen to Love is All We Need.

 

Miracle- many to mention. easily her worst album for me.

 

Taking Chances- New Dawn, A Song for You, A World to Believe In. boring.

Celine Dion - Probably Little Bit of Love...

 

TCOML - There's no song I dislike here, but I guess my least favourite is The Colour of My Love

 

D'eux - J'irais Ou Tu Iras. Can't stand JJG's voice..

 

Falling Into You - Again, don't really dislike any song, but my least favourite one is You make me feel like a natural woman

 

SSD - Sur le Même Bateau. I don't think I've listened to the whole song more than once... I just can't...

 

LTAL - Tell Him or Treat Her Like A Lady, can't decide here either...

 

TAST - Brahms' Lullaby. It belongs on the Miracle album

 

ATW... ADOS - Live. I used to like this one...

 

ANDHC - Sorry For Love A.K.A Sorry For Taking Up Space On The Album

 

One Heart - Sorry For Love. Again.

Miracle - Beautiful Boy (Am I the only one who like this album? And why do people say it's her worst album when she's never done anything like it? You can't compare it to FIY or another POP album.. hello, it's lullabies!)

I have to say that My Love didn't really stand out for me too, although I started to really like it when I heard the story behind it, but when I saw the bootleg footage of the live version in Seoul...

Now I think it's a masterpiece with a really profound message and I !!! Some songs really grow on me over time!!

Very nice topic, interesting! Here are my picks:

 

UNISON- Most of the songs are very forgettable for me. I just can say that I like "Where does my heart beat now", "Unison" and "Have a heart".

 

Celine Dion- "Halfway To Heaven"

 

The Colour of My Love- Refuse to dance, i never felt that the song fits the album.

 

Falling into You- i don't like much "I love you" and "Dreamin' of you". HATE "Sola otra vez", even thou the song has great vocals and music the words in spanish are so trashy, so the "macho" way... is like a woman's point of view that she is the one that has to give everything in the relationship, is very sad and stupid.

 

Let's Talk About Love- LOVE this album (including "where is the love")

A New Day Has Come- "Rain Tax" & "Super Love"

 

One Heart- I like this album a lot but the song that I listened less is 'Love is All We Need'

Call me an SCF, but I wouldn't remove ANY songs. Even though a song may not be one of MY favourite songs, it doesn't mean it couldn't be anyone elses favourite. As I read the list of songs in this thread and saw some of my favorites listed, all I could think was, thank god they [the poster] isn't able to do that. So for every song you really can't stand, I would bet you could find many who love it

aaahhh Halfway to Heaven is HEAVEN itself. really love that song! Kenny G.'s sax made it sooo beautiful.

Unison: I'm gonna get a lot of crap over this, but i've never really liked Have A Heart. I don't know why, I just didn't like it as much as the others.

 

Celine Dion: This is my 2nd favorite Celine album ever, so I pretty much love all of the songs on it. However, if I had to choose one, i'd probably pick Little Bit of Love. I like it a lot, just not as much as the others

 

The Colour Of My Love: Everybody's Talkin' My Baby Down, easily. Gah, I cannot *stand* this song whatsoever. Filler track to the max.

 

The French Album: This one is really tough, since I think it's Celine's finest French work to date. I guess i'd pick Cherche Encore. As with Little Bit of Love, I really like it a lot, just not as much as the others.

 

Falling Into You: I don't hate Declaration Of Love, but I wouldn't mind if it wasn't on the album. Just not one of my favorites.

 

Let's Talk About Love: Tell Him defanitly. I've never liked this song. It starts out fine, but in the end, it's just a shouting match between Celine and Barbra.

 

These Are Special Times: Another Year Has Gone By, I guess, but I don't hate it. It's just probably my least favorite track on the album.

 

S'il suffisait d'aimer: There really isn't a song on this album I don't like, but I guess i'd take L'abandon off.

 

All The Way...A Decade of Song: Most defanitly The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. It's so incredibly boring.

 

A New Day Has Come: This is my favorite Celine album ever, so this one is really difficult. I love all of the tracks on here except for that *awful* A New Day Has Come(Radio Remix). The album version is miles above it. I don't even like to consider it a real track, since it's just a remix of a song on the album. But, i'd take that song off, defanitly.

 

One Heart: This one is also really difficult, since I consider this to be Celine's worst album to date, with only about 3 songs on here that I really like(yeah, now i've started to hate Love Is All We Need and Stand By Your Side, so we're down to 3). But the worst track on this album is defanitly Faith. Not only is it the worst song Celine has ever recorded, but I consider it one of the worst songs ever. Completly passionless, and her vocals are awful. Just my opinion .

 

1 Fille & 4 Types: I would take off Mon Homme, defanitly. I never liked it.

 

A New Day...Live in Las Vegas: Probably Ain't Gonna Look The Other Way. I've never liked this song, and I think You and I is miles above it.

 

Miracle: Hmm.....probably The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face again .

 

Taking Chances: New Dawn, defanitly. I used to hate That's Just The Woman In Me, but I like it now because of her vocals(which I used to hate, but now I consder them really sexy).

a new day has come (radio remix)... i dont see why we need the radio mix aswell as the album version? cutting this track and having 'super love' on every version would make more sence

 

amar haciendo el amor... i love how celine includes either a french or spanish track on alot of her english albums but i dont like this one very much at all. i find it quite dull

i personally like all celine songs whether they 'do it for me' or not. its still nice to have the option to listen, and my favourites always change.
