alex_fan2valdeniz Posted April 25, 2008 at 10:17 PM Posted April 25, 2008 at 10:17 PM Thank you so so much It's a great concert, Celine is in very good vocal conditions and I love her look I prefer this tracklist than the Au Coeur du Stade one but I find it strange that The power of love is not included. She didn't sing it in the first shows? It's so cute when she's taking the gifts but someone can tell me what is the gift that she loves so much (she put it after on the piano) I don't understand what she's saying lol. Quote
Thomas Posted April 26, 2008 at 10:30 AM Author Posted April 26, 2008 at 10:30 AM Golf balls! She loves golf balls, it's the best gift. lol Quote

jmiracle Posted April 26, 2008 at 04:25 PM Posted April 26, 2008 at 04:25 PM (edited) The quality looks great from what I've seen so far. Thanks Thomas Thomas, could you make some lovely covers like you're used to doing? Edited April 26, 2008 at 04:25 PM by jmiracle Quote

Chula Posted April 27, 2008 at 05:30 AM Posted April 27, 2008 at 05:30 AM I hope we can watch any from a series of concerts in Montreal, December 1998. It is weird that nobody recorded them! Or nobody wants to share! Quote
pol Posted April 27, 2008 at 09:49 AM Posted April 27, 2008 at 09:49 AM I guess "All by myself" was replaced by "The power of love" later on the tour. CelineFanInSoCal Posted April 27, 2008 at 05:51 PM Posted April 27, 2008 at 05:51 PM Yeah, seemingly the full track list. It's fun to recall all the memories. I saw her in concert just a few days before this show, on August 26th, 1998 at the MCI Center in Washington, DC. My first Celine concert... aawwww, the memories! LOL Back then, I certainly didn't give any thought to seeing her tour so early in it's swing, but looking and hearing back now, and thinking about the ACDS DVD, there are a few little differences... And yeah, this was during the time when she sang full songs, live and with all her guts and vocal ability... Not trying ti discount her nowadays, but there are some slight changes...My mom started getting tired during the show and wondered if Celine would ever sing "the song", referring to TPOL. LOL Sadly, she didn't, and my mom was kinda bummed, but she took me to see Celine, not herself, and was so excited that I was getting to see her live! Thanks, ma! The way we got the tickets was pretty amusing, too, but I will save that for another day.... ha ha ha Quote
Thomas Posted April 27, 2008 at 06:09 PM Author Posted April 27, 2008 at 06:09 PM (edited) The way we got the tickets was pretty amusing, too, but I will save that for another day.... ha ha haYou stole them off a monkey riding a unicycle through a carwash. Not that amusing, I see that everyday.... Nah, the show did change as the months went on as this tour will. When I saw it in July 1999 it was already in the latter stages and it had become really slick. Not so much that it became sterile but I think it found a flow that didn't allow as much spontaneity as the first shows, when she told jokes and stories and stopped to sign autographs. I think Vegas was a very restrictive environment due the fact it was the exact same thing every night with strict timing schedules and cues and it meant Celine wasn't really able to just start talking after a song since people were hanging from the ceiling or getting ready to fly over her head. She had to fit in with the show as much as the show had to fit in with her, and possibly more so. But I think from these early TC shows it seems she's still trying to break out of the super-efficient regime that she had to comply with during AND and get back into the old way of touring where she is able to talk to the audience and be a bit more free with her behaviour. So I'm hoping as the tour goes on it's the opposite of the previous show, whereby she stops being so regimented in the things she says and becomes free to chat and play around like she used to because even though professional, theatrical Celine was good....I really miss her being a dork on stage. CLOSE, but, um, no... LOL My mom won them off the radio. She had to go through the drive through at some fast food joint and yell at the gal taking her order and pretend like she couldn't hear anything from the speakers. Another class moment in the greater Washington DC area radio history. :sofunny: J/K But as for the show, when I saw it, she was totally into the crowd and did a good job staying engaged. As for your observations regarding AND... vs. what she's doing now, I think you're 100% correct. She hasn't broke from the regime of being part of a show and back into the idea of controlling the show. I really hope that the Euro leg of the tour will show a refreshed Celine on stage, up to having fun with the entire show again...which would mean by the time she gets to the U.S., she will be in rare form! woop-woop! Der_Griffon Posted June 2, 2008 at 08:40 PM Posted June 2, 2008 at 08:40 PM I wanted to download the mp3 only, since I don't have enough place for the dvd (or a dvd burner), but I don't seemk to find them in the related topic. Is it possible they are in the same download folder as the dvd files? Hilda Posted August 27, 2008 at 12:35 AM Posted August 27, 2008 at 12:35 AM just have to say i was so excited to discover this a few months back coz i ddnt get to see the lets talk about love tour and have allllways regretted it and just coz i missed it - it never propperly got released on dvd coz it was the french version. but it does remind me of how chatty she was back then like thomas said shes become so restrained between songs - maybe coz she has so many songs to fit in as well? but i think shes always squeezed so much in. I miss her crazy chats. I loved the couple in quebec bit haha. Quote

Chula Posted September 9, 2008 at 05:03 AM Posted September 9, 2008 at 05:03 AM Sorry to argue but I believe this concert is Uniondale 'coz New York (at Madison Square Garden) featured the impersonator of Celine (and in the exact same outfit) Quote
celbabs Posted September 9, 2008 at 05:00 PM Posted September 9, 2008 at 05:00 PM Yes - this conert was not at MSG. Celine says during the show "Let's turn this into the hottest club in Long Island" or something to that effect - I think it's before the Saturday Night Fever part. Madison Square Garden is in Manhattan, not on long island so the show is definitely at Uniondale. Quote

The topic in the multimedia section clearly says Uniondale. The 6th show in tour was recorded at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on August 31, 1998 Quote
