They were DEFINITELY my first "Boy Band" crush...and I was the ONLY one who didn't get to see them we we were younger...now I am! For my Bday I was given a ticket for their concert on 09/23!!

The whole album is a masterpiece. Im all impressed. I like the tracks Click, Click, Click, Single, Summertime, Dirty Dancing and many many many more !!!

So- wow...this turned out to be a great birthday present!!!! (Still can not top my Xmas gift from last year..."A New Day" tix to the final show!!!) Anyway- I digress...I was sitting..maybe 15 rows from the stage? and was so nonchalant about the whole thing...but let me tell you...they came on stage and I was 12 all over again!! and they looked great!!!!

 

It was a really fun show!! and everyone was standing the entire time!! They did most of their songs that were popular back in the day...a taste from each album...and they all had an up to date feel about them...but the song was the same? hope that makes sense...They also did some songs from their new album...New Kids on The Block are definitely not Kids anymore... here are some pics!!

Wow, great for you Jessica to be able to go to one of their shows and that you've enjoyed it so much!

 

So they've also sung their old songs?! I wonder how they sound now... Their voices changed, music styles changed...

 

Recently they announced some dates for Germany, maybe I will get a ticket for one of these shows but don't know yet...

 

The new album sounds pretty great though!

I've been surprised and of course if I would just hear to it without knowing who's singing, I don't think I would guess these are NKOTB, hehe...

But I really like their new style!!

Actually...I was pleasantly surprised w/ their new album..You know...everyone expects a flop- but it actually ok! The Germany tix I believe went on sale today or are about to? wasn't too expensive as far as I understand...worth it!! Tons of fun!

After a big success in the US last summer, New Kids On The Block & Backstreet Boys are coming to Europe in Spring of 2012!!!

 

There are planty of dates in many European countries, 5 dates alone in Germany, wow!

 

The NKOTBSB tickets for the UK shows went on sale about a week ago, tickets for a few other countries including Germany went on sale yesterday and more tickets for some other countries will go on sale on Monday, if I'm not wrong.

 

Anyone plans to go???

 

I have a ticket for the show in Oberhausen on 10th May 2012!

 

By the way, I went to one of the German shows in February 2009 and I had an absolute BLAST!!!!!

I bought a regular ticket, not VIP package or such but still I was lucky to stand right in the FRONT row and it was amazing!!!!

And yeah, I felt just like you, Jessica, 12 all over again, hahahaha!!!

But the "kids" are now grown up men but still as charming, funny and entertaining as ever!!!! :wub:

I was dragged to the o2 with my other half who is a HUGE nkotb fan... she loves Jordan and seen them quite a few times in concert back in the 90's.

 

I was dreading it ( there was only a handful of other guys (b/fs) in the o2 and they all looked as awkward as me waiting for the show to start, but it was a pretty good show... there new album is pretty impressive, in particular:

 

* Summertime

* Dirty Dancing

* Grown Man

* Full Service ( fav on the album )

 

( these are great songs to get ready to before a night out! )

 

And anyway she ants o see this new tour with BB's, so as long as BB's sing ''Show me the meaning of being lonely'' ( one of my fav. songs.... ) I'm there! lol

Nice to hear you liked the show, Darren!

My husband "had" to go with me in 2009 and maybe he was quite awkward about it as well but he really got into it during the show and during the days afterwards it was him who often insisted on playing their new album, haha!

 

The songs you've nemed are pretty much my favourites as well, my #1 is probably "Dirty Dancing", I looooove it!!

 

As for the tour with BSB, I'm kinda curious how it will work out on stage. I've never been a fan of BSB but there are a few songs that I like a lot, my fave was probably "Quit Playing Games With My Heart" so I hope they'll play this one.

I know there are planty of videos from the US leg of this tour but I want it to be a surprise so I haven't watched any.

 

So far I got only one ticket, because I finally wanted to fullfill my teenage dream to meet the NKOTB so I got the ticket that includes meet & greet! (It's only NKOTB m&g, if you want to meet BSB, you need a different ticket).

 

But I will get a regular ticket for my husband as well, I'm sure he will like to go with me after he enjoyed the 2009 show so much! I'm just pretty certain he won't mind not going to the m&g, lol! ;P
