Celine releases go Green!

Can someone explain this to me?Is it just a re-release but a "greener" version? does it not contain a booklet or anything? bahh I know its really simple but I need explaining to haha!!

Yes, it is a re-release of the already released "All The Way" album. It is apparently "eco-friendly", so it is more safe for the enviornment. No booklet, or anything...just the CD and a flimsy paper case.

I already have that album, and im sure most people do.

I agree with what someone said ^^ that it isnt actually helping the environment to Re-release it, to have a new release come out as this, its helping.

i guess Universal Music is the first company who released this kind of 'green' version of old albums. I have 2 of them, Janet Jackson's Design of a Decade 1986/1996 and The Very Best of Sheryl Crow. The album only includes the front and back cover printed on a cardboard case. No booklet included, JUST THE MUSIC.

for ATW, it doesn't have a plastic tray to hold the cd in place which makes it easy for the cd to be scratched and i hate it. But for the people who haven't bought it yet, it's a smart way for them to grab this one as it is a lot cheaper than the jewel case edition. After all, it's the music you are buying, not the booklet.

I hope you are not upset with me...I honestly am just stating my opinions,...if you want to buy it, then by all means buy it, it just makes more sense to me to make a copy of your ALREADY OWNED CD, then you would save money AND trees.

Well I wasn't actually referring to you being less intelligent. I just figured you bought it because it's something of Celine's to collect. I was referring to OTHER people who might not be die hard fans who just like her on a normal level and figured there was something different about the album. I'm sorry if I offended you though. I promise I wasn't including you in the "less intelligent" category.

That's enough hypocrisy!! :glare: Do you want to know why they release this so called "eco friendly" editions?. To keep filling their pockets with people's money over and over again. Eco friendly packages and respect to the enviroment? The enviroment aim is the most cynical excuse that I've seen in Sony! That will be the last objetive that they were thinking to release these new series of cheap cds! :glare:

Again, whats the difference between the collector's editions of TAST and ANDHC with this cheap edition that still costs 7 euros? ANY!. Except that the quality is poor and there's any booklet with the lyrics and artwork.

The others are also in cardboard paper. And if they don't want to use real paper, they can always use recycled paper, and that's also friendly with the enviroment.

To sum up: if they want to respect the enviroment, please release decent editions with all the recycled material that they want. But please don't try to fool people with the enviroment aim because we all know that Sony is trying to fill his pocket whatever way they can :wink:

It's a real re-release of LTAL just like they did with ANDHC. I don't know what additional special features they will be including on it but Chuck told us in Las Vegas that he will be writing the liner notes for it as well. I'm sure it will be great. As for this cardboard release of ATW...I will probably buy it anyway to add to my collection.

They DO have at least one recorded cuz they used it as the "S'il suffisait d'aimer" video. AND I believe that one was early on in the tour when she was still singing "Love Is On The Way" and "All By Myself." Would be awesome to see that!

In the UK we have had this type of packaging for a year now and each item is £5 rather than £8.99. On a positive it make is cheaper for some people and therefor more inclined to buy

Glad to see they are going green.....(sort of)

This is the US release. It does not include Think Twice or Immortality (which sucks, cause now I have to import one from the UK). The print is perfect, the scans are not the highest quality but I didn't want to be scanning all night.

I think it's adorable.

And YES, it does help the environment, one way or another, even in a very, very, very, very small way... because paper is biodegradable. As less plastic is used, less plastic is created, and therefore, less biochemical usage, because plastic is made from petroleum. I'm sure we all know this. HAHA!

Which reminds me, I sat on my ATW CD and broke it.

So, now I'm going to head out and get my new Green ATW! :giggle:

for LTAL would love they release it with dvd which would have

the recording session the one in ACDS dvd

music videos Tell Him, MHWGO, immortality, treat her like a lady (live) and maybe the making of the videos! oh ohoho and maybe like some apparents from tv show or soemthing!! e.g. oscar, or tv special
