not my favorite, but i appreciate the song. (i can live without this song on my Falling into You cd)... yes it is edgy but i think the whole FIY is...

 

Declaration of Love, Make You Happy, and River Deep Mountain High are definitely not something you would expect from celine. long before Taking Chances come out, FIY is a 'chance' itself. i can even compare Your Light to Can't Fight the Feelin'. so i don't think it was ahead of its time.

Not sure if it was ahead of its time but it deffinitely deserved a better promo... That song got really great hit potential, in my opinion, so it was another big waste to never really release it as a single worldwide...

Listening to it now, it had the potential to be a HUGE single, certainly in Europe (although I was only six when FIY was released!!)

The first time i heard "Taking Chances" álbum, i remembered immediatly this song.

As someone said up it "Your Light" could have fit on TC.

 

She could sing this song on Taking Chances Tour instead of "Love Can Move Mountains"

I agree. YL sounds more like some of the songs on TC. The "YOW" at the very beginning really gets it going.

I don't think it was ahead of its time... it is just yet another musical direction Céline didn't go further in... For years this was one of my top favourite songs!

This is one of my favourite songs from Falling Into You, I'm glad that it is included on the European version of the album.

 

Anyway, I can't recognize Céline's voice in the chorus. Is that possible that she doesn't sing in the chorus at all?

The message behind the song is awesome, but it has a corny arrangement/production value.

 

I've always wondered what older songs would sound like if they were re-produced during current times, and be re-vamped. "Your Light" would be a candidate for revamping.

haha if youre being serious.. i think Kelly would sing the hell out of it! We have a "Kelly please cover wish list" thread. I added that she could blow it up. and knowing her shed up the guitars a bit and then it would be a hit.
