WOOOOWWW!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

She was soo amazing. Im still not over it yet. She was in FANTASTIC voice! I think we may have got a slightly shortened set list but I was totally expecting that! She started the show as normal but after the IACBTMN/BYLM/TLYM medley she talked to the crowd saying that "Its hard to do a show.........It's.........even more hard............to cancel one" (I put the pauses in cos you know how she talks) She mentioned how she was thankful for our patience and that she had turned 40 yesterday and the crown sung her Happy Birthday!!!! AGAIN IN BRISBANE!!!!!!!! We are her Birthday town!!! The security was SOOO strict on cameras so id a video comes up of this concert I will be VERY suprised, we all had our bags checked etc... Actually come to think of it, the only songs she didnt do that I was expecting were IGTMIM and ANDHC. The crowd was BORING in my opinion. I was in the front row and during I drove all night some guy and his wife behind me told me to sit down cos they couldn't see, so I gave him the finger. I gave Celine the 'salute' when she came out and she looked at me and responded with one of her funny little winks. I blew Elise a kiss and she gave me one back which was awesome and during the curtain call I showed my frog to the Korean dancer girl, I cant remember her name, and she signalled to throw it and she caught it!!!! AAAAGGHH, Does Celine keep all her frogs that fans give her?? I hope so! I also met AussieJo in person and that was RAD!! HI JO! Anyway I'm off to bed, will write more tomorrow. Love John.

 

Yes OMG OMG OMG indeed!! It was breathtaking She sounded perfect...the whole night was perfect [except for the twits sitting behind John] I wanted to go over and tell them they didn't deserve to be sitting in the second row if they were going to be like that..they looked liked they didn't even know who Celine was and they just decided to randomly buy $400 tickets to her show! Anyway the customs were beautiful, she looked stunning. Anthony sang the Prayer during his warm up act, which was great but would have been better for him to do it with Celine!

 

For RDMH she had a similar dress to the one she had in Vegas - so hot! the Queen tribute was great too....like John said, she was in FANTASTIC voice! I got a wink and a smile from her when she came over to my side of the stage, that was the most amazing moment ever! I was wearing my A New Day Vegas shirt in the hope she would recognise it! I also got to meet her personal body guard, he was so so nice, he took my rose I bought for her and he said whatever he gets he gives to Celine.

 

As for the t-shirts, I got the same white one as John, it's not very good qaulity for $50, but the jumper looked good...the baby doll shirts seemed to be a bit better qaulity, but I wanted a shirt with the tour date on the back, the baby doll ones just have Celine on the front. The white one in Johns picture also comes in black but they had sold out of most of the sizes before the show even started! they had also sold out of programs too, so if you want one get there early!! There were no posters otherwise I would have got all of them!

 

It was so cool to meet you John and be able to dance along with you a few seats down ...because as we know there wasn't anyone else getting up out of thier seats! shame on them!!

The arena was almost full...I could see a few spare seats at the side at the very back..but it was mostly packed. It seemed liked it was packed to capacity when everyone sang 'Happy Birthday'

I like the merchandise, I hope there is some stuff with her most famous logo on it though. Do they have any stuff with that logo?? I mean the "Celine" logo like you see it in TeamCeline name etc. - you know what I mean? I love this logo and miss very much that they hardly use it nowadays.

The shirts cost $50. The jumper is $100. They had a number of different shirts and they were all $50 as far as I can remember. Expensive, but so worth to remember the tour

She had a number of changes, she had the black dress to begin with, then she changed to the red pants/white top, then she changes into a hot outfit with knee high black boots and a glittery silver and black dress/long shirt sort of thing then she wore a gold/silver glitter dress - much like the RDMH dress she had in Vegas. Her final outfit was the yellow dress for MHWGO. I think that is right - anyone who was in Brisbane feel free to correct me, I may have got some of it wrong...I am still on such a high from last night, my memory may not be that good!!

Ok, here's a mini review of Celine's wonderful concert in Brisbane from the perspective of a person who could only afford the cheaper seats behind. It appears that the silver and bronze sections were definately filled. There were more visibly more empty seats at the gold section in the upper circle. On the floor, the diamond and platinum seats also appear to be mostly filled. However, there were several rows of seats in front of the FOH that were empty.

 

At 8pm sharp, the lights dimmed and Anthony Callea (the opening act) started singing. He finished at 8.32pm. The intermission followed and at 9pm sharp the lights dimmed and the I drove all night (remix) intro kicked in. Celine burst out on the stage and started bringing the house down. Most notable was when she had a private moment with us about her illness and concert postponements (I believe this was after the 3rd song). She said it was really hard for her on the road, much harder than doing a show in Vegas. She mentioned that unfortunately some things in life can't be planned and she fell sick. Celine thanked us for our patience, and for giving a chance to her to perform again in Brisbane after 10 years. She also added that she felt really bad that concerts had to be postponed and cancelled (I wonder if this referred to Beijing?). Celine also said it was really hard for her to sit behind her window in her hotel, wanting to go out to enjoy herself with her family but couldn't because of her illness. Celine mentioned that her husband, son, and mother were also at the concert. She also said that this is the first show she is performing as a 40 year old woman, and she cracked some jokes about being "old" and hard of hearing We sang happy birthday to her and Celine was visibly moved and was on the verge of tears. She said we were a great audience and could join her on the tour in case she falls sick again and can't sing

 

The rest of the concert pretty much proceeded like clockwork and Celine wowed us song after song. The only irritating thing was that some concert goers started going home (probably to avoid the mad car rush) during LCMM, more left during RDMH, and some left just before MHWGO. How annoying! Well too bad they missed one of the highlights of the concert. Celine got a standing ovation at the end and the concert ended on a high note at 10.50pm.

SHE WAS FANTASTIC!!!!!....

 

I sat nine rows from the stage right in the middle .... and I too got told to sit down it so ticked me off!!...My husband said I was like a real groopy ( you know mouth open never taking my eyes off her) I never stopped singing and dancing (in my seat) because the people behind us couldn't see...only time they got up was when she told them too when she sang LCMM - which was sad. I just wanted to stand and never sit down. I talked all the way home back to NZ - I think I talked my husband's ears off and now all my friends get to hear it too ....I could "go on and on and on and on" haha.

 

She was worth the wait and so amazing . I loved it when she knelt down in the centre of the stage and sang "My love" (she said it was "her prayer") with no music - just by herself, brought me to tears, then slowly the music was included. AMAZING!!

 

The whole show was fabulous....those who have tickets and yet to see her - you are all in for an amazing show - she is worth ever minute, every second of waiting.

 

From what I saw on the Today Show the next morning - the guy (sorry can't remember his name) that interviewed Celine said he flew back with Celine and Rene to Sydney as soon as the show finished....Lucky him.
