I regret, that when i was young and i told my mother i was gay, and she forbidded it, i went along with it, but on the other hand i would not have gone on to have my beautiful boy Anyone else wish the had done things different or regrets??? scorp82 Posted March 28, 2008 at 02:47 PM Posted March 28, 2008 at 02:47 PM I don't know if I can say that I regret any decisions I have made. Looking back, I can say I wish I could have made other choices in regard to some things. I also wish some things would have had evolved differently. However, all in all, we can all learn from the past. Sometimes the choices we make allow us to learn and helps us shape ourselves and become mature and strong for any future choices we may make. Then again, if I had been asked to go to the Falling into You tour, back in the mid 1990s, I would have also probably said no! But then again, I was about 13 or 14 years old back then. tonybower Posted March 29, 2008 at 05:54 PM Posted March 29, 2008 at 05:54 PM I regret not getting my act together and going to see Celine in Vegas when the show first started. It was not entirely my fault as I thought it best to wait till I was 21 (2004) but then I was a struggling student and had no money. If I'd made more of an effort to save carefully I could have gone at any point between 2004 and 2007. But last year I booked my tickets and I got myself into debt organising my trip to Vegas but I was happy because I would get to see the show at last, just before it finished. Which would mean I was't tempted to spend an absolute fortune goingt to see it 100 times before it finished. Then, on October 4th, the show was cancelled and after finally making it all the way to Vegas, I didn't even get to see the show.I had originially booked to see the show on 25th Nov but this show was cancelled long in advance and Caesar's got in touch to suggest new dates. The only reason I accepted 4th Oct is because I wanted the same seats I had for Nov (Orch4 row BB) and this was the date suggested to me. If I could go back I would accept any date and any seat number. Even the back row of the top mezzanine! Clearly with all the cancelations it was just not meant to be! It sook a while to get over the disappoinment and even now when I see clips from AND... it pains me to think how close I came. Second row seats too! I also regret not discovering this forum sooner because I'm sure I would have lots of opportunities to get my hands on decent tickets (at decent prices) to see the show; I might have even found a real fan to go the show with! I may even have got tickets for the last show as I'm sure some fans were selling them here... But, what' the point in having regrets? KimboCosmo Posted April 3, 2008 at 07:41 AM Posted April 3, 2008 at 07:41 AM The only thing I regret is choosing to go to hair school instead of "REAL" college, and so now I'm having to work really hard and dreading going to "REAL" college in the near future...starting at 25 or 26 instead of 18 like I could have...I would have a DEGREE now.. Other than that, I don't really believe in regrets, because it is true, the mistakes we make from our past, is what makes us stronger now and a better person, and who we are today. I think that even those things that have turned out to be not such good experiences, have brought me something or made me stronger as a person. And what I'm glad about is that I have had the courage to do stuff, even when it was frightening. I think people do regret more stuff that they haven't done than stuff that they have. But the telling people that I like/love them is of course something I could've done more.. ddmone99 Posted January 17, 2011 at 05:38 PM Posted January 17, 2011 at 05:38 PM (edited) If I could change something I'd make it that I wasn't a push-over. My friends say that's my problem. I don't stand up for myself. I don't like starting conflict so when people act rudely towards me I just laugh and act like there's nothing wrong. But then I'll get home and lock myself in my room and cry for like 10 minutes then I'll take a couple of minutes to get back to normal. And I'd change that I wouldn't be afraid of bridges. I'm just afraid that the bridge will collapse and I'll die. Some people think that's a weird fear. Edited January 17, 2011 at 05:42 PM by ddmone99 Quote You'll never see the courage i know. It's colours richness won't appear within your view. I'll never glow the way that you glow. Your presence dominates the judgements made on you. But as the scenery grows, I see in different lights. The shades and shadow undulate in my perception. My feelings swell and strech, I see from greater heights. I understand what I am still too proud to mention to you. You'll say you understand. But you don't understand. You'll say you'd never give up seeing eye to eye. But never is a promise and you can't afford to lie. You'll never touch the things that I hold. The skin of my emotions lies beneath my own. You'll never feel the heat of this soul. My fever burns me deeper than I've ever shown. But as the scenery grows, I see in different lights. The shades and shadows undulate in my perception. My feelings swell and strech, I see from greater heights. I realize what i am now too smart to mention to you. You'll say you understand. You'll never understand. I'll say I'll never wake up knowing how or why. I don't know what to believe in. You don't know who I am. You'll say I need appeasing when i start to cry. But never is a promise and I'll never need a lie. Never Is A Promise-Fiona Apple
