Jeffieboi Posted March 24, 2008 at 09:24 PM Posted March 24, 2008 at 09:24 PM Well, I can't exactly say the song has made me cry, except for when I listened 2 it right after my grandpa died, but it's a nice song. I would also like to add that not only did Karine die in while Celine was there, but she also died in her arms according to Celine. Quote

KimboCosmo Posted March 24, 2008 at 10:15 PM Posted March 24, 2008 at 10:15 PM Yes, Fredy! Karin, the niece from Céline has cystic fibrosis illness and died 1993. Céline was present at times Karin died... (Sorry for my English) Thanks a lot for the info, that's so sad, was she so young, now the song is even more touching. Karin was only 16 years old... that's very sad... Also, may I add that Karine thought the WORLD OF CELINE...and Celine loved her so much for that, they had a bond that Celine and none other had. That is why Celine has a quote in every one of her albums that comes out, dedicated to Karine. Dionesque Posted March 24, 2008 at 10:28 PM Posted March 24, 2008 at 10:28 PM Karine died in Céline's arms while Céline sang "Les oiseaux du bonheur" into her ear.... sooo sad... I cried when I first heard Céline telling this story, I guess it was in "D'eux" special when I heard the story for the first time... Céline was always very emotional about this song... As for English version... I don't feel as many emotions in it as in the French version, obviously because Céline feels French more than English and the French version was first, recorded closer to the time of Karine's death... Szilvi79 Posted March 24, 2008 at 10:38 PM Posted March 24, 2008 at 10:38 PM Céline feels French more than English and the French version was first, recorded closer to the time of Karine's death... The original first version was Vole ... Céline sings in French Language always with more Emotionality and much more Feeling Quote Bye, Szilvi 79 "Je ne suis pas celle que les lumiéres éclairent Je ne suis pas celle qui change avec le temps Et si malgré tout je suis restée la même C’est pour approcher mes rêves d‘enfant"
Black Kitten Posted March 25, 2008 at 12:13 AM Posted March 25, 2008 at 12:13 AM Vole is a lot better than Fly. especially her live version in Live a Paris. the emotions! i love it! Fly is pretty good, but her the emotion she puts everytime she sings Vole is just plain AMAZING. (even on If That's What it Takes & I Don't Know). Quote
