German Celine Dion Fan meeting

Dear Celine-friends,

 

From August 22nd – 24th 2008 the german speaking fans are going to meet for the 10th time to spend a few hours/days together. This year is a really celinish year and what would be more beautiful than meeting other fans, swapping/selling Celine stuff, playing games and getting to know a new town?

This year the fan meeting will be in Flensburg. It's in the northern of Germany at the border to Denmark.

 

I've posted links, because all who are interested to take part are German speaking ones (Germany, Austria and Switzerland and maybe some Danish guys? ), so the details will be first on the fanmeeting page or the forum. I think more details would be too much for those who are not interested.

Because there already was a German fan meeting in Berlin not long ago and to make it fair for all German fans, the meeting takes place each year in different place.

Flensburg is pretty far from where I live too but after all I'd really love to join the meeting so if i can join Céline concerts in other countries than I also can join the fan meeting in the same country, right?

Yes, Dionesque is right. We already had fan meetings in Berlin, Cologne, Nurembourg, Leipzig, Kassel and so on. This year it's my turn to organize a meeting and because I am living here, it is in 'my' city! All the other years I had to travel a lot, now the others have to travel ... to me! *lol*

Why not plan some fan meeting at the concerts? Or you have plan for those dates already?

Of course, fans will meet each other at the concerts, but our 'normal' meetings are mostly in August or September. It would be too much work to organize all the things while the concerts are. A lot of fans travel from one concert to the other - there's no time for an extensive meeting.

ahhhh this sounds nice. I would have loved to join the club, but unfortunately I have to go back to work after the Munich concert.

 

Flensburg is a very nice city, in a great region of Germany. I've been there 3 years ago with some friends. The Flensburger beer is especially great

Till now I am at the beginnig of planning, so I can't tell you an exactly number of participants. All time it's different - it's predicated on holidays and of course the money of the people. The last years we were between 15 and 30 peoples. I will arrange for 5 or 50 fans.

Why not plan some fan meeting at the concerts? Or you have plan for those dates already?

 

Because different German fans go to different shows here and it would be difficult to get them all together at one show. Maybe if there would be only one concert in Germany, it would be possible this way but not when there are so many shows in very different and distanced parts of the country.

 

And even organizing kinda fan meeting around the concert time isn't that easy. We are going to meet quite a lot of Polish fans at one of the foreign concerts but than the difficulty is that different people arrjve/depart at very different time, some come to the city solelly to the concert and leave in the night, some other come 2 days before and leave the next day...

 

So I really like the idea of fan meetings apart of concerts AND smaller, more spontan meetings before/after the concerts.

pity it is so far far away from me. i live in Neu-Ulm and at that time i have my thesis presentation! couldn't you guys have done it in the south? :-)

The German fan meeting is really great!

I had the chance to be there in Leipzig, 2006 and i had a great time. Unfortunately, i can't join the fanmeeting this year.

 

But for all those who are able to go - DO IT,

you will be surrounded with great people
