I loved You and I a lot more and think it's 1000x better. Ain't Gonna Look The Other Way is one of the 8 Celine songs that I don't like. She says "used to be easy", "everything has changed" "you gotta free me" etc. So I think that when she says "look at me cause I choose life", she's trying to tell her lover (or ex-lover for that matter) to take her seriously ("look at me") when she says she wants to move on and get rid of a dying relationship ("cause I choose life"). I used to listen to this song over and over when I went trough a bad breakup (are there ever any good ones?).That sentence always lifted me up. To me it meant that I should stop looking back at things I couldn't change anyway. I should move on and live my life the way I always wanted to, instead of living in the past... But it's obvious that lyrics mean different things to different people, so someone else will probably find another meaning in it Quote
