Are we ready?

After watching my ove recording session,when celine said that she thinks people judge her by her achievements and the artist she is not by the woman who is under this artist something came to my mind

we celine is changing a little bit by getting sexier or trying new kind of music,so i think what we so past years was a woman who controlled herself and not show all of her charecteristics,and remain a mature and normal woman.there is no doubt there are things that we didn't see in her befor.

what i want to say that are we ready to see the exact celine dion the right woman who she is, all of the parts in her personality and still love her and accept her for who she is?

I want her to be real and to be comfortable. Whatever that means! She has always been very open and hasn't been hiding much from the public. I don't think she has made an active effort to conceal something in the past. But I do think that people change. And she has changed. She is more mature now, she knows what she wants and the things she wants have changed. Her priorities have changed. She has to take good care of herself if she wants to be a good mum so it's inevitable that she becomes a bit more selfish.

I love her the way she is and I want her to be happy with what she does. I can't predict the future but so far I haven't seen any changes in her that appalled me.

celine will always be celine. i actually didn't get the question, but i love celine for who she is. she's real.

Celine is one of the most human, grounded and humble stars there is.

But she is still a star and what we see is a public image. She has given us insight into her private life many times, which is rare. Especially because she seems so real.

But she is clearly a very disciplined and controlled person who has had to conduct her life under the glare of cameras.

As real as she is, I'd be happy to see her relax, unwind and live a life that makes her happy. If that means fewer interviews, less vocal control, saying no to the occasional photograph/autograph then so be it.

 

I think she is disillusioned by showbusiness: her comments about the red carpet, fashion, and the remark she made on CBS about not being good at performing RnB tell me that she has had enough with (most aspects of) the industry.

I genuinely believe that she loves and appreciates her fans, but she has had enough of the falseness and the illusion of showbusiness: people smiling at you, interviewing you only to criticise and bad name you. Take her comment on RnB: she clealry enjoys this music and had a lot of fun doing Eyes On Me but she knows more than anyone that there a people out there waiting to laugh at her and say she should stick to the ballads. All she wants is to do what she feels like and what she enjoys but there are too many people out there waiting to put you in a niche or pull you down no matter what. She wants to be more than just a name and a voice.

She has an amazing talent, a happy home, does not cause controversy so the critics are forced to comment on her fashion, her 'style', the fact she doesn't write her own material. It's never ending.

But it's clear to me that Celine can see through it all and wants little or no involvement in it. This is very refreshing and reassuring coming from someone in her position.

But are all these things you mention (getting sexier for one) really her decision or "Sony's or Rene's?" No doubt that the River Deep dress shortened up quite a bit for the CBS special. But..., was that really her personal doing or others that control her career? Personally I think Celine is a little more reserved in personal life and I see some of the changes as a way to broaden her fan base. So many of the younger crowd today goes in for the Madonna sexy stuff and in order for Celine to break into pop market of today (if indeed that is what Rene and her are doing), I can see why some of these changes are occurring. In the end I guess money is the most important thing to some in her group (i.e. Sony etc.) but to Celine, I don't think she is 'taking chances' there.

I Think we have always seen the real Celine. But I don't deny she is changing.

 

I don't know about you guys, but there is a different me for every situation. Me when I'm at work, me when I play with my little sister, me when I'm out at the bar with my friends. Not one of those personas would really be suitable for the other scenario, because I behave differently and appropriately in each one.

 

Just like what I described above, Celine has many facets to her personality, before she has been a little bit more disciplined. Now she is relaxing more. Her grasp of English is better than ever, and she doesen't have to be so careful about picking the right words. She is enjoying life a little bit more and more as the days, weeks, months go by. I think she has come to realise that she doesn't need to be so hard on herself anymore.

 

She is successful enough to not bother about the critics, and to just enjoy her wonderfully gifted life! I'm really happy for her. There are so few people that are in the position to make the choices she can and she worked incredibly hard to acheive it, and sacrificed so much. Good for her!

I think we would love her forever for sure... but I think as well we won't see her since her motherhood, I think the person under the artist will be SO familiar, that she won't be there for music and fans anymore if she could make that decision.

i love celine no matter what. its easy to get mixed between a persona a celebrity puts out and the real person, ive seen this first hand having worked in the music business for a short while.

but as someone else has said, celine has shared alot with us about her private life, which gives us some insight into the person that she really is. of course she will have moods, if shes a typical aries, she's stubborn, sensitive, will stand up for what she thinks is right, sometimes argumentitive, and loved ones mean the most. my mum, big sis, and bro are all aries, my bro shares celine's birthday, so it gives some insight into what she's generally like, but she also has her own individual traits that we will learn over time one day maybe.

 

regardless of how celine changes in small ways, the essence of celine, her values, morals, and the message she gives to others, will stay the same. ive grown up with celine, shes been my 2nd mother, il always love her no matter what, good or bad times.

first i don't think she is fake like leenylover said everyone of us have our diffrenrant charecters inside of us maybe there are still aspects of celine that we didn't see,i said that when i saw my love recording session it came to my mind cos in a scene celine said"people see me by the artist that i am not the woman who i am ' i think maybe in the past the artist part of her made choices maybe for what is good for the public but now she has done it and she has proven herself and now she is making decisions about more what she likes,by the way i don't know how to exactly describe what is in my mind. but it is for sure that i don't think she is or was fake,

and also i don't want to chang other people minds, asking something does not mean that hey people accept what i say.

As I was reading this post I was listening to "Eyes on me-CBS special vesion" on you youtube. I believe that this song is fabulous in both the CBS special and the album

I believe Celine has a lot more to offer and that there are many other ways she could go with her music. I think she's proved that with Taking Chances. On the other hand, I think she's always been true to who she is. I think for the most part she is who we see. There's always going to be a bit of surprise to who she is because she needs some privacy as a person and in that she might be keeping some things more private. She deserves that though and I appreciate all she has given to us as fans.

Any way , If I may say my attitude toward these recent changes in celine specialy after her last album I should say it does not satisfy me the way it did before (the time I got familiar with her) . you know ! I got used to the celine I found before . even in her recent french album she was the same celine I knew . But she is changing now and there is no doubt !

It's hard for me to get use to this new situation . I do not blame her for what she is doing now. but you asked if I love this so_called real celine or not. the answer is : Of course I do . But it takes time to me to become familiar with the real Celine !

I agree with this 100%. I detested the short, blond hair but only because it was too much change all at once. I believe we fans love Céline with all our hearts, but we do make her change who we percieve her to be.

I think if she had gone blond then a few months down the line cut it short, then we may have come to accept it better.

I agree with you,and I am just like you when I hate somethng I don't pretend I like it,like I said i hated that blond hair too specially in the scenes if the Dvd ,i said to myself why not short brown hair it is really better than blond, I think sometimes it is good to know the reasons and try to understand them ,but celine understand her fans and changed her hair.I think it should be a mutal understanding she tries to understad us and we should do that too.
