emi&celine Posted March 16, 2008 at 04:39 PM Posted March 16, 2008 at 04:39 PM I just created this topic because I've noticed there's much confusion about the European certification of Let's Talk About Love. Everybody agrees it's the best-selling album ever by a female artist in Europe and we can find on IFPI's site that this album is the most awarded one by IFPI since the 1996 and the introduction of European Platinum Awards. However, nobody agrees on the exact certification! IFPI claims Let's Talk About Love to be 9x Platinum, but I found a picture of a European Diamond Award for this album, in recognition for more than 10 millions sold! What to believe? Please go to both sources and give me your opinion. Quote
Prince Whiskers Posted March 17, 2008 at 02:50 PM Posted March 17, 2008 at 02:50 PM (edited) What I remember is that Celine amassed a leading 33 platinum awards in Europe betwen 1996 and 2001. Santa Hagdonna was a far second with 17 platinum citations.
