Krys Posted March 14, 2008 at 12:34 PM Posted March 14, 2008 at 12:34 PM right, so this is about the new HP laptop i got last December. it has been running fine until the day before yesterday. i wasnt using the laptop so i dunno what exactly happened. somebody must've turned it off and when mum tried to turn it back on, it would not boot. instead of the black Vista screen with the logo and the green bar status bar, the Vista logo disappeared leaving only the green bar. the green bar keeps moving but thats as far as it gets sometimes when i load it, the message says that i installed some new hardware or something that caused Windows fail to boot. i tried using the option to repair some boot thingie but it goes back to that black screen with the missing Vista logo and the green bar. there are no USB stuff plugged into the laptop. only the power plug and the internet plug. im running outta ideas of how to fix this thing Quote

Bellamy Posted March 14, 2008 at 04:41 PM Posted March 14, 2008 at 04:41 PM Vista sucks anyway. If oyu don't afraid of loosing your files, you can try to do a system restore too. Install XP on your computer would be another good choice. Hope I can afford an Mac. Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!

Bellamy Posted March 15, 2008 at 04:31 AM Posted March 15, 2008 at 04:31 AM Most HP computer can do system restore by press F11 I think. Try find your manual, or search if you have any system restore CD. But normally they don't give restore CD now, only press F11 to restore from hard disk.
