beautyroses Posted March 12, 2008 at 02:32 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 02:32 PM what is ypur opinion about thiswhy celine insist on doing her makeup on AND,and combing her hair and dressing before my heart will go on,and RDMH. i feel in that moments she puts alot of stress on herself esp before my heart will go on,why she let other to do that. but what amaze me is when she come on stage you don't feel she was so stressed before Quote http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac137/Venus_1982/new1.jpgAngel of My World[/i]
Frida Posted March 12, 2008 at 02:38 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 02:38 PM well, maybe she feels like she's got to be in "control" a little, maybe she enjoys it (btw, I think it's very non-diva-ish of her ) Quote http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png
Bellamy Posted March 12, 2008 at 02:44 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 02:44 PM Not only in A New Day. She always do make up herself. You can see that in her previous tour videos too. Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Thank you!
Krys Posted March 12, 2008 at 03:13 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 03:13 PM my mum saw the part where she was putting on her makeup and she said "why dont she just hired a make up artist?" and i agree with Frida. its very non-divaish Quote
kathyc25 Posted March 12, 2008 at 04:08 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 04:08 PM I think she loves doing her own makeup/hair...and I think she does an amazing job too...I want her to do mine! lol Quote Music Is Life...Live ItYou are the music while the music lasts. ~T.S. Sarit31 Posted March 12, 2008 at 04:35 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 04:35 PM Maybe she wants to add her own personal touch. I think it's good that she does her own make-up, and I agree, she does an EXCELLENT job! Does anyone know if she's ALWAYS (like since the Incognito times) done her own make-up? Quote
PrincesseJen Posted March 12, 2008 at 05:31 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 05:31 PM Well, if I was a star I'd probably have professionals do my makeup and hair because...well....I can...lol. But makeup can be considered an art form and Celine seems to enjoy it. She's very good at it. I think some of her makeup styles she has now are the best I've seen. celinerific Posted March 12, 2008 at 05:42 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 05:42 PM Like others say... she seems to enjoy doing her own makeup and she does an amazing job at it. And again, very un-divaish. Honestly though, if I were in her position during the AND show, I'd come up looking like I stuck my face in a bucket of multicoloured paint. CelineFanInSoCal Posted March 12, 2008 at 07:02 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 07:02 PM (edited) I think it's awesome that she does her own makeup... we've known that she does that herself for years... remember on tour when Manon used to help with her hair? Awe! Family ties! I am grateful that a fresher, more up to date makeup artist helped her create her new look... she looks fabulous now. She used to look very powdery, and it made her look much older than she really was. Her makeup techniques are flawless... and the prep steps that she takes [like in the AND behind the scenes stuff] are on point... As far as what makeup she uses, from seeing the behind the scenes stuff, she appears to be using some of the following lines of makeup: NARSMACBenefitChanel There's a few other brands mixed in there, too, but these appear to be the most used in her tool kit. She is also using some great brushes, which is essential in a great finished look. She's using some Japanese inspired kabuki brushes, too. She does a fantastic job with contouring and shading [watch the AND DVD secrets part... lol] The "makeup base" that she uses before putting anything else on [the stuff she put on with a sponge and dried with a fan and it turned white] is Milk of Magnesia [think 'Phillips Milk of Magnesia'] which is an awesome makeup base for people with oiler skins, as it has an ingredient that absorbs your skins oil and prevents new oil from poking through your makeup... you need to use non-powder based foundations for this to really be successful... like a cream based foundation. I could go on and on... lol I love this kinda stuff. Message me for more makeup tips. I kinda know what I'm talking about. ha ha ha Edited March 12, 2008 at 07:04 PM by roberry82 1 Quote

Black Kitten Posted March 13, 2008 at 01:53 PM Posted March 13, 2008 at 01:53 PM as time passes by, you can notice that celine's choices of make ups changes as she gets old. but i love her make up on LIVE A PARIS (the video of All By Myself). i think her AND make up is pretty dark for her face and that 'somehow' make her look more mature. she's enjoying putting her own make ups. good for her. I think she's gone from using dark/heavy lip colors for a couple reasons... 1) It's not really en vogue at the moment 2) She has thin lips, so she's playing them down and not drawing attention 2) She's REALLY playing up her eye makeup and cheek bones, making a dramatic lip not needed. Think back to FIY and LTAL days... her lips were done up and her lip color/lip liner more than covered her upper lip, giving the impression of a bigger/fuller upper lip. More natural lips are definitely in style these days. Quote
fashionably_yours5 Posted March 14, 2008 at 09:31 PM Posted March 14, 2008 at 09:31 PM I agree......She looks better with a more natural lip..You cant have the heavy eyes and cheek bones with a dar k lip. Its all about naturals these days. She makes it all look amazing!!! Yeah it might stress her out to change in less than 2 minutes for song but Celine's a perfectionist!! LOL She has to have everything just perfect and the way she wants it and her team knows that. Shes wearing more flattering things as well as doing make-up that flatters her. I agree I loved the Alexander McQueen dress she wore for RDMH at A New Day. Someday i hope that I get do a photoshoot with her.....that would make my life!!
