I couldnt hear some of the first converted videos too, but I managed to convert it right and heard the sound, then uploaded them. I'm not sure where the problem is ^^. Do you use windows media player to play them or did you try with other programmes too? I myself always use K-codec with Media player classic as it plays almost all type of media files. Quote

Both are mpeg with the extension m2ts.Extention means nothing in BD. MPEG-2, VC-1 and AVC videos are all packed in .m2ts files. The concert video is VC-1, the tribute to fans part is MPEG-2. And that's why it's easy for you to cut clips from the tribute part. Try cut some clips from the concert, it would be much harder.
