peterchambers Posted March 7, 2008 at 03:17 PM Posted March 7, 2008 at 03:17 PM hi guys and gals, well this is for me an easy one and thats got to be when i went to see celine in cegas on the 25/9/2005.. i hadnt had any plans for that weekend ( i live in england) , it was on thursday the 23rd that i couldnt resist any longer ( and because of work commitments ) that i just booked a flight for the next day. i flew in the hope of getting a ticket at the box office. I DID.i actually remember nothing of the day itself as i was wandering around in some kind of dream just waiting for the show on the saturday ( flew friday)..an amazing city vegas.. but i went to colliseum 3 hrs b4 , browsing her store and few beers in planet hollywood ( nerves were getting better off me). then showtime ,ticket cost me 225.01 dollars FRONT ROW SEAT . couldnt believe it..would have paid 10 times more, then as i was sat down and the glass shattereed and celine came out , it was first time ive ever cryed with joy, ( im a 34 yr old bloke from england ) and enjoyed the worlds greatest show. all of it was amazing celine , dancers, band , lcd screen . when i walked out after the show i was drained, that was and ( apart from having children ) always will be THE most memorable experience ever....sorry i was so long winded guysi have to thank yous1 thank you celine2 thank you fellow fans for putting celine where she belongs ....on top of the worldpeace peter chambers Quote who loves ya...celine does
Jour053103 Posted March 7, 2008 at 03:59 PM Posted March 7, 2008 at 03:59 PM I would have to say my all time fave memory of Celine would be when I went to see her in Las Vegas June 31, 2007, during the concert she sat down on the steps and then there was a quiet spot when I yelled out "JE T'AIME CELINE" and she answered back with "MOI AUSSI, JE VOUS AIME". That in it self was the silver lining to the concert!!! So, Celine JE T'AIME!!! peo Posted March 7, 2008 at 05:20 PM Posted March 7, 2008 at 05:20 PM My all time favorite Celine moment was when I was In her concert on July 6, 2006 and I waved to her because I was in the first row and I had my doubts that she wouldn't wave back to me but she did!!!! After that I was really excited!!! I will never forget it. rathnakumar Posted March 8, 2008 at 09:34 PM Posted March 8, 2008 at 09:34 PM The DUBAI concert on March 5th 2008 was amazing!!! I got to see her from the first row!!! Such a big dream come true!!! And Céline was looking at the audience and I said "WE LOVE YOU, CÉLINE!" and she saw me and smiled!!! The next time she came near that part of the stage, she searched for a while with her eyes and then when she saw me she smiled again!!! I'm telling you... Like the in the tour book she says "This is about looking you in the eye and saying I love you!!!" It was exactly like that!!! I screamed throughout the show like all of us there were... And Pour Que Tu M'Aimes Encore was extra special! I screamed saying I adored her in French and it was a great moment for me! I was sooooooooo emotional during my heart will go on in the end when even she teared in the end a little... I could see it!!! I don't know what came to her that moment... And looking at that, I was emotional too! She's such a wonderful person!!! She made me feel like she came there to sing for me... That's what I love about her... We fans took all the pains to get visas and pass through immigration checks and hours of waiting for her... She makes it all worth it when she comes on to the stage!!! It was truly a wonderful experience!!! I loved meeting Seline and Abadi from the forum and a couple of other foreign friends!!! I met a French speaking friend who was soooo impressed with the fact that I was learning French because of Céline! It was so much fun!!! That's my favourite memory... Lawna Posted March 8, 2008 at 09:40 PM Posted March 8, 2008 at 09:40 PM Mine was July 1, 2005, when I was in second row, and Celine gave the rose to the lady in front of me I said "Celine! Hi!" and she was hugging the lady with her eyes closed but then opened them in acknowledgment of me....I thought I was gonna die! Ray Posted March 9, 2008 at 08:49 PM Posted March 9, 2008 at 08:49 PM My favorite memory: it was on May 27 1995. On this day Céline gave her very first concert in Holland in the Congres Gebouw in Den Haag (The Hague). She blew me away! Highlights were River deep mountain high (which hadn't been recorded at that point), Pour que tu m'aimes encore (D'eux had just been released), Can't help falling in love, Think twice (which was her first #1 hit in Holland). But what made this day EXTRA special: Céline signed the booklets of "D'eux" and "Des mots qui sonnent". I'm soooo proud to have two Céline autographs and especially because she gave them to me herself! (Lots of people buy autographs on the internet, but to me that wouldn't be so special). LasVegasCanadian Posted March 12, 2008 at 01:12 AM Posted March 12, 2008 at 01:12 AM When I met her at the early wrap party for employees on Sept 10, 2007. Telling her I worked at the box office and was from Canada and her replying that we must have "some crazy nights" Looking into her eyes, she never took her eyes off anyone's eyes and shaking her hand(even though she had gloves on.) I will never forget meeting Celine although it is all like a dream now. Aline Quote
hidden_ego Posted March 12, 2008 at 08:26 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 08:26 PM my moment will come o 5 July when I will be for the first time part to her concert. Yes, I will finally see her!! Quote
keny Posted March 12, 2008 at 11:12 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 11:12 PM I would have to say December 15, 2007. The last show and how emotional Celine was. Especially when she choked up singing My Heart Will Go On. ...and also every other las vegas show that I saw over the last few years. Good memories. Quote
danmu Posted March 12, 2008 at 11:57 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 11:57 PM I think mine would have to be when Celine played Wembley Stadium in 1999. It was my first time seeing her live and finally being with people that enjoyed her music too. My shock when i look over at the guy next to me and his singing Pour Que Tu M'aime Encore too. Probably the best moment was Think Twice, one of my favourites. Allowing the audience to sing the no no no no bit on there own. Whole song live was AMAZING. Can't wait to see her in London in May and hear Think Twice and All By Myself. Quote
Nat27 Posted March 13, 2008 at 07:25 PM Posted March 13, 2008 at 07:25 PM My favourite Celine memory....? Seeing her sing All by myself live. And when she was standing on the side of the stage singing Shadow of love, our eyes met for a split second, it was so quick but I will never forget the moment. LuisMa Posted March 13, 2008 at 07:53 PM Posted March 13, 2008 at 07:53 PM Wow, there are many, but my very favorite has to be the moment when I listened to her music for the first time, on a Saturday morning back in 1991, when Shadoe Stevens presented "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" debuting at number 40 on American Top 40. Sarit31 Posted March 16, 2008 at 10:55 AM Posted March 16, 2008 at 10:55 AM My best memory is of course from June 19th, 1999, when I saw her live in the Stade de France, in Paris. My seat was sort of middle-back, and looking down on the stage Celine looked like a sparkling white fairy! I loved singing and dancing and knowing that there, for a short time, I was with thousands of other CELINE FANS!!! And I 'll never forget the point where she sang To Love You More with Taro Hakase on vioin, because that was the first time I had ever heard I violin live (like, not on DVD live, but LIVE...) and it was just so beautiful!.... Oh... I'm so looking forward to May 2nd, then I know I'll have some more favourite memories of Celine! Quote
Filine Posted March 16, 2008 at 03:31 PM Posted March 16, 2008 at 03:31 PM I've many great memories of this fantastic lady but the most special is of course my meet&greet on 19th January 2007 Quote http://www.celinedion.nl/pics/cindy/bannerza.jpg"They call my home the land of snow, Canadian cold front movin' in"
Dionesque Posted March 17, 2008 at 10:00 PM Posted March 17, 2008 at 10:00 PM I hope my best Céline moment(s) are about to come... in May, in June, in July... So far, my greatest moments "with" Céline were those when I hear her music.... The first time I heard "Think Twice" (and any other time singing this song ever since!), the first time hearing "Pour que tu m'aimes encore".... Singing "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" with some French girls at a party while I was on students' exchange in France in 1996, because it was my very first experience of meeting other people who actually knew some lyrix of Céline songs and could sing them along with my by heart! I can't describe this feeling but it was just great!!! Than leading her very first fanclub in my country some years long... It was fantastic opportunity to promote her (as it was way before "Titanic" and most of people in my country didn't really knew who Céline Dion is!) and also wanderful opportunity to finally meet many other fans of her! (it was "before the internet era" so it wasn't THAT easy to find other people with the same interests) Then, some great Céline moments for me were/are those when I get new items to my collection, especially if they are the items I very eagerly want to own! For example when I got her original autographes, her German-speaking singles, the "Just Walk Away" promo and maaaany others!... And special Céline-related moments are all those when I get to know new great Céline-friends and when these friendships are lasting for years - like with some Polish and Hungarian fans! I met so many great friends "through" Céline!! Merci bien, Céline, pour tout ca! Je t'aime pour toujours! Quote Visit me on Facebook 14th & 16th May 2008 - Antwerp Sportpaleis24th & 25th May 2008 - Paris Bercy2nd June 2008 - Amsterdam ArenA12th June 2008 - Berlin Waldbühne18th June 2008 - Köln Arena20th June 2008 - Hamburg Colorline Arena28th June 2008 - Kraków Błonia Park1st July 2008 - Vienna Stadthalle15th, 16th, 19th & 20th August 2008 - Montréal Bell Centre10th, 15th & 16th March 2011 - Las Vegas Caesars Palace ColosseumJ'étais là pour toi, Céline!
