What motivates SECRET Celine fans to stay where they are?

I guess people just find it easier to stay at the computer and get the album free with a couple of clicks.

 

For the record, I wasn't one of those people!

well for me .. mmm i didn't really download those illegal one for TC... just from official site ..

and even if i did it doesn't really matter cause once the album released i would go and buy it...!!

not to mention now i got like 14 versions of TC

I have to say that downloads are not always bad!

I am ashamed to tell you , but before 1998 I think i never knew Celine Dion existed.

Since Titanic I was touched for the very first time by music. With "My heart will go on", I had tears in my eyes.

Then i started downloading music from Celine to know what other songs she had made. Wow, i was shocked that there were so many songs from Celine Dion. So I started downloading the songs that were downloaded the most by other people. All the songs i downloaded were beautiful! Slowly I became a fan. And now I just can't imagine a day without Celine or her music.

I have to say I still download her songs (illegal), because It's easy to copy them on a usb-stick for in my car. But I also buy her cd's (I have taking chances in 3 versions for example) and dvd's and I'm going to watch her several times in concert. I also bought all her perfumes, piece of stage from A New Day and a lot of other things. Man, I am almost broke!

So what i wanted to say: if i didn't downloaded her music, I didn't knew that Celine Dion had so many beautiful songs and I think that I wasn't a fan right now. So maybe it's good that people download Celine her music for free. They gonna appreciate her music and maybe go to her concerts. Most people that go to concerts would like to have a memorabilia and I think that maybe people than buy her album.

when I first discovered celine through titanic I downloaded some songs illegally and I loved them so much and I became a huge fan, I haven't since, I now buy all her albums and DVD 's however I still download the odd video c lip of here but who doesn't LOL. I also have bought tickets and other products so I feel I have made up for it LOL

I don't think it's all secret Céline fans who download the music. Maybe they don't want to pay for the music, or they have no technology to grab them from the cd but they do want to use them on their mp3 players. I downloaded my TC album from itunes but I am not happy with it. I will go and buy the store version sometime soon. In some countries it's not even illegal to download music (e.g. Canada). Maybe some people only want single songs and not the whole album and some may want to listen to the whole album and see if they like it before they buy it. I still want to buy it, even though I do have the songs but I want the real cd and I want the booklet. There are a lot of reasons for people downloading music.

So I think that because of the I-llegal websites and softwares that will always be exists-

You can download. If you're not an poor people, and you like the music- Buy it.

When TCH leaked before the release, I've search it all over the net, because I knew that when it will released I'll buy it for sure!

So you can download and buy the album when you will can.

It's not that people like Celine Dion (250$ in 5 Years) will not survive if you'll not buy the album NOW.

That's why sell perfume is more profitable than sell albums. You can't download, and no one want pirate version.

I believe that many people who download the music, wouldn't buy it anyway, so I don't think artists lose out as much as they believe. I would have to say that there is much music that I discover through illegal downloading including Celine. Once I find an artist I really like I will go out of my way to have the CD or DVD, because for me, it's far nicer to have the real thing. If I am not really a fan I will probably be happy with the download, as I would never have bought it anyway.

 

But I firmly believe that illegal downloading DOES help to promote artists, and the music industry needs to find a way to work with that.
