I miss Las Vegas and I miss Celine!

I never went to Vegas and it's one of my biggest regrets ever but I wasn't in a position financially to go while I was still at high school, it kinda breaks my heart knowing that I'll be there this December, and had I have been a year earlier I could have seen her. I just pray that with baby number two she goes back to Vegas and I will satisfy my Celine addiction lol and would hopefully get to meet many of you lovely people

I'm glad you posted this thought........so many of us that love going to Las Vegas will miss seeing Celine. My husband and I are supposed to go back to Vegas this fall, but it will be so different to not be able to see AND. I always loved seeing the signs in the airport as soon as I stepped off the airplane........on the taxis........billboards........magazines! All of our friends know that I loved that show, so I'm sure that I'll hear, "What did you do in Vegas without Celine???" We're going to have to see a different show, but "O" isn't playing at that time, so I guess we'll see KA. It just won't be the same! Maybe Rene will read this and bring her back to Vegas just for one night!!! What are the odds???

Awww…. *hugs* back. (I know it’s a little late, but I rarely venture to this side of the forum!)

 

I was lucky enough for her Vegas run to begin just months before my high school graduation. I know, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to go either. I’m so glad you were able to see her on tour though, and will see her again in December!! I think she’ll return to Vegas in a couple years, hopefully not sooner than that -- I’m still recovering from all of the money spent! What money you bring to Vegas, stays in Vegas!

I miss it too On the 29th of next month will be one year since I saw AND. I still remember most of what I was doing in the weeks leading up to when I went. I might be watching the AND DVD that day & trying to relive Vegas and Celine Oh the memories...

I just got back from Vegas on Tuesday. Its just not right without AND there every evening. Sure, they're bigging up Cher more than Bette...its just not the same though. Strangest thing, I stayed at the MGM and as I was coming from the elevators one evening, I saw a girl with an AND bag (like the ones you'd get your purchases in from the boutique). Spooky!

I've been having Vegas nostalgia lately! Oh Gosh, just to imagine that a year ago I was almost having an anxiety breakdown and now the only breakdown i have is my bank account makes me sad!

I look at the pictures over and over again, remembering the moments I spent there and how wonderful they were. My wordrobe is still filled up with things I haven't even touched since I got back from Vegas. I need some time to separate things and create a Vegas section there too! hahaha.

 

9 months since I got bak... Time really flies!

I am going to Vegas this Feb with some friends. It is not going to be the same walking through ceasers. All the posters and signs the outside marquee and store will be gone I am going to cry just thinking about it. I have a display in my bedroom from the lobby at ceasers that I look at everyday and think of Celine and how great the show was. I hope she comes back but I want her to take care of her self the family and have another baby first then come back and we will be waiting with open arms

OH my gosh this thread iS really depressing.

 

*tears up a little inside*. Vegas really was amazing.. I'm already entirely sure that I'll never, ever go back again because I'd only ever been there to see Celine and I can't imagine what it would be like without her poster watching over the strip, her presence splattered all over Caesar's Palace.. it would be an unknown place to me. And it would completely ruin all the memories I'd made of those places. That driveway where I waited two hours to see her drive by would now be Bette Middler's driveway. .. Ee.

 

It was cos she left in such a hurry too.. The moment she stepped out of Vegas she took off on a whirlwind world tour, giving us (and herself) hardly anytime to mourn and properly commemorate Vegas. All of a sudden it was like, *poof!* gone.

 

While the tour is amazing, I now see what she really meant by her whole idea of Vegas being like welcoming her fans into her home.. It was so personal in a way we'll never be able to recover again with our favourite star.

Monday (sept. 29th)was one year since I saw Celine at AND and I still can't believe that its already been a year. There's so much I still remember like it was yesterday. I ended up watching the AND DVD on Monday almost the time the show would have started, so it was like AND again (just a bit). Las Vegas was certainly an amazing experience but I only miss Vegas because Celine was there & would only go back if she does.

I don't know why but, for the last few days and especially today, I'm really missing that Celine is no longer peforming in Vegas...

I'm praying that within the next few months that there will be an announcement that she will return in 2010 for a few dates a year for even two years

I was talking to a friend tonight on the phone and we both were talking about how much we miss going to Vegas to see Celine.......

 

It was not only great go there to see Celine, meet up with other fans, but I also have a friend out there that I don't see as much

I am SO pissed at myself for never going. I wasn't really a Celine fan until about March of this year. I live about 3 1/2-4 hours from Vegas and my grandpa lives there and so I have been a crapload of times, but NEVER saw her. And I am so pissed at myself because I've been there when she was there and I just...never went. I even went by the Colosseum when she was in there performing. And I really really hate that I missed it because the A New Day DVD is what made me a fan, then I realized I was just three months too late and I still haven't forgiven myself.

 

And I've been to Vegas now a few times after the show ended and it kills me. And what's even worse...sometime within the next few months I will be moving to Vegas. I'll be in Celine-land...without Celine.

Wow this thread is making me really miss Celine in Vegas and I didnt even get to see her. I just didnt (still dont) have the money to see her. Im praying she goes back there in the next few years and even if I totally broke, I am not missing out next time, whatever it takes!

Don't be to harsh on yourself! I knew many people in Vegas who lived there and had never gone to her show either. (They weren't really fans but it's just to make you feel better! )

You sure missed a wonderful experience, but I'm sure you'll be able to have it some time in the future!
