[Rumor] Incognito english version?

Hi

Everybody know that before Unison were released, it suppose to be Incognito(in english) to be realised.

So, do somebody knows if any songs from Inconito were tranleted in english?(I know only about Partout je te vois).

I don´t know if "Incognito" was recorded in english!

But the song "Partout Je Te Vois" from the album "Incognito" was recorded in englih with the name "Have A Heart" and rleased as a single from the album "Unison".

I think it's just a rumor and nothing behind it.

I don't see why Celine recording this in English and not released this...

But if it's true I'n curious of how it sounds.

well, originally her first album was planned to be the english equivalent of incognito. but i think they ditched this plan.

I've never heard about this, but it doesn't mean it's not true. Unison originally had 12 tracks and was set to be released long before it actually did. However, Rene and a few other influential people felt the album wasn't strong enough and needed to be re-recorded. Therefore, Celine went back into the studio with some new songs which caused us to get the album we got. A very good first English album with two less songs than planned. I'm not sure if this is good or bad, it simply is what it is.

 

I would, however, LOVE to hear the ditched tracks someday! I'd love it if Sony (as if this is ever going to happen) released a SOLID collector's edition with a few bonus unreleased tracks, as well as a DVD of the Wintergarden concert plus the "Unison" VHS tape transfered onto DVD.

well, if we learned one thing by now is that there is always more talk than action... it was supposed to be a 1Fille & 4Types in English too, then when the album was praised by both fans and critics they changed their minds...

In the Authorized Biography of Celine Dion, it was said that initially CBS agreed to remake the Incognito tracks to english with a $30,000 budget. Vito Luprano, Rene and basically everyone at the record label knew however it would be impossible to recreate the tracks for that budget but it was a way for Celine to get in the door, even though those contracts did not really work. I never heard of the fact that the entire album was going to be translated in English it's not mentioned in any of the bio's. She recorded Partout Je Te Vois in English as Have A Heart (she performed it at the Juno's I think in 87 or 88) to convince the recordcompany that there had to be an english album. The audience love that particular performance. It took René two more years to get the money and the support to finally release Unison...
