I think they just mention the Celine part to compare it to another "cruel question" - Katie Couric asking Clinton if it's true her nickname in school was Miss Frigidaire (that's a cruel question for some reason) Quote
Shesings2me Posted February 22, 2008 at 05:51 PM Posted February 22, 2008 at 05:51 PM This article is just trying to make a point about how journalism is made to put one person down while pumping up another person's ego, etc. I don't believe at all that Barbra said those exact words to Celine because I think I remember that part of the interview as well, and Barbra was trying to show the journey Celine took from awkward teenager to successful, beautiful singer, etc (kind of like a Cinderella story). As far as Celine having tears in her eyes after that, maybe there was just something caught in one of them. I think you can drop this one. Take care, T.
