I love this songlist!!! Like the fact it has many songs... heheh

but the order of some songs i dont get... IA remix, SOL, FA and then we get boring song I'm your angel, and then we go to Cant fight the feelin...

 

but i love the fact that she finnaly is singing We will rock you herself...

now we just try to let them know she should sing the Soul part as well ;-)

Celine begins world tour in SA

After attending the movie preview of ‘Sweeney Todd’ I made my way through pelting rain from Westville to ABSA Stadium. Much to my delight the rain made way for a moonlit sky for the duration of the concert. And what a concert it was! Celine, the consummate professional brought the packed stadium to its feet. ‘It’s been an amazing trip,’ she said, ‘not only for me but my whole family. We have met Mandela and yesterday we went on a safari – absolutely out of this world! There are so many memories. ‘Thank you,’ she said to the Durban audience, ‘for being a big part of this wonderful experience. It has been such a privilege. I wanted to do things right by starting my World Tour with you.’ This she followed with a track from her latest album entitled ‘Taking Chances’.

 

Celine literally covered the whole span of genres during her one-and-a-half hour concert complete with five costume changes. She seduced the audience with songs such as such as ‘The power of love’, ‘All by myself’, ‘I’m alive’ and more. But the crunch really came when she paid tribute to Freddy Mercury and Queen with ‘We will rock you’ and ‘The show must go on’…. Never before had I heard these songs sung so powerfully by anyone other than the late Freddy Mercury – it was astounding and totally captivating. Every single moment was polished perfection – from the energetic, supple dancers to the backing singers and accompanying musicians. The haunting strains of her closing song – ‘My heart will go on’ (the theme from Titanic) - echoed through the stadium making an indelible impression that will last for a lifetime.

oh my hat!!!!!! what a show. it's over......the durban show was over so soon. and i didn't even have time to realise i was there in flesh watching celine.

 

she's changed that white dress with the white boots outfit.

every single song was LIVE. while she was singing the chorus of TC, it sounded almost as if she hiccupped lol. so for sure it was live.

the stadium was electric. when she sang ABM you could hear the stadium go silent as that big note was coming, then as she hit the note, the stadium just went wild. MHWGO, even tho it's not a favourite of mine, because of the overplaying of the song, the stadium just sang with her. if there were a roof on the stadium it would have been lifted when the audience sang the chorus with her. it was amazing.

 

jane and i were in the VIP area so we didn't get a chance to see what was on sale because we had to keep in the VIP area and the merchandise was all in the other section of the stadium. we did get the tour book as a gift.

 

i tried to scan a few pages but i'm not good at this scanning thing but here are pics just so you can see what in the book.

I have to say, that although I was not there in person, I disagree that Celine sang every song LIVE.

jane and i had front row seats, but it is thanx to the camera my husband chose to buy that i got such close pics. it also does videos and action pics and some other things, but i will just take pics i don't know how to use the other gadgets.

I so hope that when they release the dvd, they show these small videos to!!! We have options to see the stage, dancers and the video, or only the video in full screen... would love to have it

 

It's also so madonna... lol... i'm used to it that she always has these kinda of vids in her concerts... but a lot more..

 

it's great to see celine that way... think they couldnt have done more of these vids, before RDMH with a long intro,

or showing a video before IACBTMN and using the remix as long long intro...
