I was in the Mezzanine

There were 120 table on the floor

4 small screens

Yes they had plenty of refreshments Beer, hotdogs etc..

 

The only merchandise they had were a few shirts with pics from the Taking Chances Photo Shoot

 

No Programs I geuss they'll only have them from Saturday

FIRST REVIEW

 

The rows of lights that you see are the candles from the tables.

 

They stared off with a video montage from all Celine's music videos with IDAN playing in the background.

She then cam on and sang "Music in Me" - I've heard this song before but can't tell you who sings it - will recognise it if I hear it.

Then she sang TPOL - Live

I can't remeber what she was wearing at first - sorry

Then she stopped and gave a speech about meeting Nelson Mandela today with her who family and Rene's oldest son (maybe she forgot his name )

 

Then she went for a costume change while the dancers did a spanish dance

REVIEW CONTINUED....

 

 

She came back wearing long red pants, long sleeve white shirt with sleeves rolled up (I think), Black supenders and - the wierdest part - a red cape hanging from the back of the suspenders

 

IACBTMN - I'm pretty sure this was playback to the LV version I'm no expert

Which went straight into BYLM just like Vegas. BYLM was live.

 

TLYM - I felt like I was in Vegas again. I'm hopeless at telling whether a song is live or not but I think this one sounded just A LITTLE to perfect not to be.

 

EOM - Totally 100% live - It was great - the vocals were really clear - the acoustics seemed simplified (for lack of a better word) but it totally worked

As it turns out - the red cape was to be a prop for one of the dancers to take off during EOM and fling around like a bull fighter

 

ABM - 100% totally live and AMAZING !!!!!

Did I mention it was AMAZINGGG ????

She held on forever on the long notes with complete silence from the band - VERY powerful !!

 

Then she went for another constume change and the dancers came on and seemed to be prancing around aimlessly

Review Continued Again

 

Another crappy photo

You can at least see the light scheme for EOM

 

The stage was really small and they never had more than 10 dancers on at once.

I can't wait for Staurday to see what a REAL stage looks like

 

OK...

So she comes back on wearing black leather pants and a silver sparkly dress - knee length - with a pattern in black and red on it.

 

She sang IA - totally live with those strange dancers who seemed to be moving around randomly - She played around with it and did some impromptu singing - I like it

 

SHADOW OF LOOOOVVEEE - OK so I totally freaked out when this started - LIVE !!!

 

Alone - I'm gonna say it was live but please don't kill me if it wasn't - nothing too amazing to report

Air guitar and Air violin?? Well OF COURSE !! The audience loved it though.

 

PQTME - Like I said about TLYM - just too perfect not to be live - I was back in Vegas

 

Think Twice - Live I think - held on to the long notes though It was still beautiful and the audience went wild

 

Then she went for a costume change and Barnev did a solo medley of I'm a soul man, RESPECT and one other which I've forgotten - sorry

Thank you Jane for you covering this first concert of the TC tour, and thank you to your co-reporters who posted here when you had a great time... too bad about the bootleg though, but hey, things like this happen and we'll probably have more bootlegs than we have t he energ to listen through by the end of the tour.
