I am quite sure Sony got wind of our excitement with the long awaited "A Cause" single and decided to cancel it. Sony's strategy is to disappoint fans as much as they can...

I think that I know the reason why they changed the next single.

A cause is a club song, kinda disco.But LTQC is has rock feeling, and Celine has now a rockier music, so that`s the reason why they changed the single.

Does anyone know whether there will be a physical release of Le temps qui compte?

 

I would love it as it is my favourite song of D'elles and having it released as a single it might be possible that she would even perform it during her concerts in France, wouldn't it?

Hmmmm..... It's like "A Cause" is the french version for "Eyes On Me". :hmm:

 

 

You want "A Cause" for D'elles and you want "Eyes On Me" for Taking Chances.

 

 

 

I actually prefer "Le Temps Qui Compte".

OK, I know it's quite an old topic but I need some answers:

 

What happened finally to the next single off "D'elles"??

 

This topic says that "À cause" has been deleted, still I have a physical promo of this single, as well as physical promo of "Immensité" so they must have been produced but haven't they (i.e. "À cause") received any airplays??

 

And what about "Le temps qui compte"? Has it been released physically as promo?? I've never ever seen one... Only I only knew about this song being single in Poland.

 

Any news about current/next single from "D'elles"??

 

And as a collector, I'd like to see cover scans/photos of "Le temps qui compte" - anyone here has it in her/his collection??

Hi Dionesque, i've this Facts on Wikipedia find:

 

"Le temps qui compte" (meaning "The Time That Counts") is the first and only single released in Poland from Céline Dion's album D'elles. It was sent to the radio stations on May 18, 2007. "Le temps qui compte" was written by Marie Laberge (words) and Jacques Veneruso (music), who also produced the track. Dion worked with Veneruso already on "Sous le vent," "Tout l'or des hommes," "Contre nature," "Je ne vous oublie pas," "Tous les secrets" and "Immensité." Céline Dion performed this song during the Quebecer TVA TV special dedicated to the issue of her album D'elles.

"Le temps qui compte" debuted at number 19 on the Polish RMF FM chart on May 30, 2007 and reached the top on June 11, 2007. The song debuted also on the Polish National Airplay chart at number 31 on June 8, 2007 and peaked at number 23 one week later.

There was no music video made for this track.

Sony BMG released "Le temps qui compte" also as a radio single in France in February 2008.

Well, I already knew about all these facts as I come from Poland and I knew about the premiere of the single in RMF radio etc.

 

But what I mean, I've never seen any physical promo single for this song - neither Polish nor French release.

This was my assumption, that these informations about the single LTQC for you nothing new says... Sorry :shy: But have you the last phrase read? LTQC was as a radio single released. :wink:

But it doesn't say if the radio single was a physical one (you know, a CD you can hold in hand) or just a digital one (a computer file)...

 

And I never trust wikipedia 100%, because everyone there can write what she/he wants...

 

On an another wikipedia entry on "D'elles" I found following info:

 

"The only commercial single from the album 'D'elles' which has been released on CD was the track "Et s'il n'en restait qu'une (je serais celle-là)" (...) The following songs have only been released as radio singles in several countries; "Immensité" (France, Québec), "Le temps qui compte" (Poland), "On s'est aimé à cause" (Québec) and "À cause" (France)."

 

For me this info doesn't sound too reliable either... Has "On s'est aimé à cause" really been released for radios Québec??

 

And still no answer concerning physical/digital releases...

It was such an idiotic move to cancel the "A CAUSE" single. It had HIT written all over it. The beat, the vocals, the new remix===it all worked too well for Columbia to release it in Europe.

 

You'd think that if we were going to see a new D'ELLES single, we'd see it now---right before she starts her tour in France. My guess is that singles for TC and D'elles are over and they will concentrate on the tour.

I gathered from the charts thread for D'elles that many French radio stations had been playing OSAC. I wonder if this is still the situation.

Well, I thought they may release a new single from "D'elles" in the time Céline is in Antwerpen/Paris but honstly, knowing SonyBMG, I highly doubt it will ever happen... :(
