I agree. After MHWGO the enitre world saw her as a major force in the business, but after the way she conquered the US with the Vegas Show, there is no denying that a phenomenon such as Celine is looked upon as Unparalleled Greatness. There will never be another.

I highly agree... Although we obviously cannot predict the future, I think it is safe to say that the level of success Celine had with MHWGO will be very difficult to match by any artist any time soon...

 

And again... The way Celine was a force with MHWGO and the way she was able to be even more successful thereafter will again be difficult for an artist to reach that level of greatness!

I was so obsessed in school you couldn't shut me up about Celine

for the first few years. When MHWGO came out I remember one summer

listening to that song every day for 2 months! I believe the sound track

sold 30 million and LTAL 18 million world wide. Maybe it's the other way around or combined

I can't remember, but these statistics were quite a few years ago, so it's much more by now.

 

It's amazing how MHWGO almost never was written, but then once it was, Celine was asked to sing it.

Saw the movie 3 times only cried the 2nd at the part where they all fall of the ship

and are freezing in the water. Those were the days. Everyone wanted

to sing the song in the talent shows for school and in choir.

My middle school band was handed MHWGO, but some people just could

not play it right, so it got scrapped and if it had worked it would have been in the concert.

I was a flute player for 8 years. I even bought a tin whistle to play it like in the song.

That other statistic was on the radio about every 20 seconds somebody buys a Celine album.

That was equal to being able to give everyone in the Philippines a dollar or something like that.

Celine = power!!!

MHWGO was the first time I heard Celine. At the time I was more concerned with playing with Spice Girls barbies to pay attention to Celine

But I LOOOVED the titanic movie so I of course wanted the soundtrack and, then the lovely world of Celine music unfolded.

Because of titanic I became a fan!

my first celine's cd (Let's Talk About Love) was becaused of MHWGO

I used to see titanic at least twice a week. I was totally groupie of this music

and stayed a celine groupie untill today (and forever)

I was so very little but I remember those days like yesterday and I would give the world to go back and do them all over again. I was a fan of hers because of my Dad - before the Titanic MHWGO frenzy. I never shutup about her and it was so great to see the whole world falling in love with her.

 

I remember that too, when I was a kid we had talent shows and lip synch shows. I remember all the little girls wanting to do My Heart Will Go On and it would be like a fight to see who could get to it first. I remember at all the dances like the father daughter dance they would play that song always near the end. We would all just get so crazy. At one of those father daughter dances they would pass the mic around and I was with my friend Kelly, I will never forget this, her and I were belting the ending. I loved the ending of the song when I was little, it just gave me chills so that moment, singing into the microphone, was special to me as nerdy as it sounds. I remember at a kareoke thing on a cruise I went onto Bermuda we got a huge group together and sang it with my friends and family and their family who attended. Oh my gosh, I just can't believe these days just flew by...ten years. It is so unbelievable.

 

Wow, I actually feel like bursting into tears. I miss this era most.
