imaswede78 Posted January 29, 2008 at 11:02 PM Posted January 29, 2008 at 11:02 PM I have always wondered why on earth Celine's team put Have You Ever Been In Love on both ANDHC and OH. I'm sure it went along with the Chrysler campaign but come on! There are hundreds of beautiful songs to choose from and the team wasted our time and their album space by using the same song. I adore Celine but I'd love to be a fly on the wall and figure out why her team makes some of the decisions that they do. Thoughts? Quote
AllCeline Posted January 29, 2008 at 11:06 PM Posted January 29, 2008 at 11:06 PM Maybe they had intentions on releasing HYEBIL as a single on ANDHC (or at least debated the thought), and by the time they made up their minds, it was probably time for OH. I'm not sure why, but it's definitely a possibility. I asked the same question before. Javier_Natalio Posted January 29, 2008 at 11:52 PM Posted January 29, 2008 at 11:52 PM didn't you notice HYEBIL became a single off OH? that's your answer right there. Quote
Black Kitten Posted January 30, 2008 at 12:28 AM Posted January 30, 2008 at 12:28 AM i really think that ONE HEART album is a bit rushed, due to the debut of AND show. the album was a gift and a 'little' intro to the show. maybe that's why they decided to put HYEBIL and SFL. and HYEBIL became a single during OH era, not on ANDHC era. Alex_Incognito Posted January 30, 2008 at 01:42 AM Posted January 30, 2008 at 01:42 AM I think it's a bit of everything. "One Heart" was madly rushed, and they knew they had a adult/contemporary hit with HYEBIL, so they did it. It's not uncommon, actually. Look at her early albums. How many times did "La voix du bon Dieu" appear on other albums? Etc. etc/ Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
tal-sh2 Posted January 30, 2008 at 02:13 PM Posted January 30, 2008 at 02:13 PM La Voix Du Bon Dieu is with 3 different versions... It's not exactly the same song.I think they knew OH will sell, and they it was late to released it in ANDHC as a single. So they put him in OH, and made a single. And it can be only because it's a great song and they wanted the album will include one more song! grobandion Posted January 30, 2008 at 04:05 PM Posted January 30, 2008 at 04:05 PM I got really mad at that time, as I did when I found "To love you more" was also in LTAL album, since it was a bonus track in the "Live á Paris" album.By the way, the "many singles simultaneously" strategy was used in OH too. In my country and many others, the second single off was the title track, One Heart, and not "Have you ever been in love" Quote
tonybower Posted January 30, 2008 at 04:15 PM Posted January 30, 2008 at 04:15 PM I think both One Heart and HYEBIL were released in the UK. As was I Drove All Night. Can anybody confirm?I never actually heard HYEBIL on the radio. I was surprised. It's not my favourite song at all but I really thought it would be a success. That's a question of publicity yet again though, I think. Are there really three versions of La Voix Du Bon Dieu? I think I've only heard one.Where can they be found? Attendais Posted January 30, 2008 at 04:29 PM Posted January 30, 2008 at 04:29 PM I think that because of the lack of songs for fast-made ONE HEART album... Anyway the song matches there, doesnt it? There are rumors that songs included in One Heart were recorded for ANDHC back in 2002, so One Heart would be like a ANDHC part II. That's why they included repeated songs like HYEBIL or CWS, because the songs that were left from ANDHC weren't enought to release another full album. Of course I Drove All Night was recorded in 2003 for the Chrysler campaign, but haven't you noticed that the only recording session we have from One Heart is IDAN song? No more scenes from the making of the album than IDAN! So maybe IDAN was really the only song recorded in 2003 for One Heart, the rest are deleted tracks from ANDHC... Quote "Hush, now... Just think a little, we never seen other behind the scenes from the album than the IDAN song, neither on a TV show they showed behind the scenes from the album... just the recording of IDAN. Why we didn't seen Faith, One Heart (which was even single) or Naked, for example? And why they re-included HYEBIL, Coulda Woulda Shoulda and a crappy Sorry For Love (2003 version)? celbabs Posted January 30, 2008 at 11:23 PM Posted January 30, 2008 at 11:23 PM Yes, they wanted HYEBIL to be a single. However, the AND show was starting and Chrylser spent a TON of money on the show and had decided to use Celine as their spokesperson. A song was needed to tie the two together and IDAN was born. They had to release a new album, what beame OH in order to put IDAN on it. (I LOVE how they tried to say that Celine was releasing the album for her fans because she knew that she wouldn't have time to release another one during her run of AND. We know that is BS because she recorded Miracle, tons of singles and D and TC!!!) They knew that HYEBIL would be a great single and wanted it to be the next single after IDAN. We in the entertainment industry are always thinking of awards. If they released HYEBIL as a single but it was not on the current album that she had out then it could not be eligble for any Grammy nominations. Therefore, they had to put HYEBIL on OH. That's the entertainment industry for you. Quote

celinefanonline Posted January 31, 2008 at 09:59 AM Posted January 31, 2008 at 09:59 AM well i think they shouldn't put HYEBIL in 2 albums... but yeah because of the reasons above...... and things..by the way for the single they should also put it's also from ANDHC album.. not just OH.. for Sorry for love.. the one on OH is the original version.... and the one on ANDHC it's actually remix version ....... Javito Posted January 31, 2008 at 11:06 AM Posted January 31, 2008 at 11:06 AM for Sorry for love.. the one on OH is the original version.... and the one on ANDHC it's actually remix version ....... It may be the original version, but for sure it was recorded in 2002 for ANDHC. Then they probably thought it would fit better a remix of it so that's why we have a remix (but they didn't say "sorry for love remix") Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

unicorn Posted February 1, 2008 at 06:08 PM Posted February 1, 2008 at 06:08 PM HYEBIL was puted on the OH album (I read somewhere) because it promoted the Chrysler campaign with IDAL and OH(song).Theese 3 songs promoted the campaigne, and because the campaigne started almost with the OH album together, the thought that it will be good to put theese 3 tracks to the following album, which was OH.That`s the reson. CelineFanInSoCal Posted February 4, 2008 at 09:24 AM Posted February 4, 2008 at 09:24 AM I agree with the other users with regards to OH being the leftovers from ANDHC. I think IDAN was the only song recorded for the album. HYEBIL was going to be another single, and was even included in the 'A New Day' Vegas show during it's opening year. OH was sloppy, yet I ran out to get it when it was released. LOL Given that OH's songs were the leftovers from ANDHC, and given what Celine and Rene have both said about the songs that are recorded, there's always a surplus of songs that just don't make the cut for the final album, and many times this is because they don't fit with the overall tone and color of an album [Celine even talked about this during the recording in LA for the upcoming TV special when she introduced 'That's Just The Woman In Me', so I would venture to assume there were some awesome songs recorded previously and are just sitting around, waiting to be heard. [Though I hope they're not ALL of the OH caliber. LOL] Quote
