I think the Taking Chances album is available in Digipack and I wondered if this could be played on a regular CD player. I'm totally clueless. Similarly, the Blu-ray DVD. What is this? Does this require a special player? Does it refer to DVDs or can you get Blu-ray CDs? I'm sorry for my ignorance! Modern technology confuses me but I'd hate to think I was missing out on better quality products (with better sound or images) just because of my lack of information. Any help much appreciated...! Davey84 Posted January 29, 2008 at 10:29 PM Posted January 29, 2008 at 10:29 PM the only difference between a normal cd case and a digipack is the package! lol! the normal cd is in a normal plastic case, a digipack is usually made of thick (laminated) paper! the cd is entirely the same! the only different cd there is, is a Super Audio Cd, you need a special player for that! Ble-ray disc has large capacity so that it has much more quality images and sounds...To play it, you need blu-ray player, which is quite expensive. No one knows all, but we can always depend on GOOGLE and WIKIPEDIA ^^ Quote

Okay, I'm feeling a bit embarrassed right now. I'm sure it will pass...I just can't believe Digipack only refers to packaging! Why do they give it such a fancy, technological-sounding name? Couldn't they call it eco-pack or something?Well, at least now I know I'm not missing out on some superior quality items... Thanks for everybody's help anyway! Thanks in advance the blu-ray is not a dvd, it is the successor to the dvd just like the dvd was the successor to the cd. in terms of capacity, the dvd can store up to 4.7GB (more than 9GB if it is a dual layer dvd) and the blu-ray can store up to 27GB (around 45GB i guess for dual layers). The blu-ray was in a "war" with the HD-DVD to succeed the normal dvd and it has finally won! Quote
