I love this album because of it's perfect mix of songs. In this album, Celine experiments with more modern dance/pop music, but still stays true to her roots. The fast songs are catchy and fun(I'm Alive, Sorry for Love, When The Wrong One Loves You Right) and the slower ones are songs that classic Celine would sing(Have You Ever Been In Love, I Surrender, Nature Boy). Each song is unique and amazing in it's own way(even the very strange Rain, Tax(It's Inevitable) is an amazing song), and adds something different to this album. The only song I would skip over is probably the radio remix of A New Day has Come. Other then that, each song on this album is perfect. I Surrender is my favorite song on the album, because it's just a simple, pure Celine power ballad. My other favorites are Ten Days, When The Wrong One Loves You Right, Nature Boy, and A New Day Has Come(album version). This album is defanitly a must have for all Celine fans. It's a perfect mix of old and new Celine.

"A New Day Has Come" is still my most absolute favorite album of all time, even to this day! And it's undoubtedly Celine's best album ever! Like you said, the album consists of the PERFECT mix of songs, in the most PERFECT arrangement. I believe this is Celine's most modern album, where she was able to go pop, while still maintaining her true style and of course integrity. ALL of the up-tempo songs are EXTREMELY catchy, they all have awesome rhythm, and of course, GREAT lyrics. I can't think of an up-tempo song on the album which WASN'T radio-friendly. The ballads on the other hand, were NOT AT ALL BORING. This is a HUGE plus for the album because many times, ballads tend to have a much too melancholy, many times, boring characteristic to them. But EVERY SINGLE ballad was AMAZING: everything ranging from ANDHC, AL, and Prayer. The album began AWESOME, with the instant hit, IA, and ended with the captivating cover of NB.

 

In my opinion, NEVER has Celine recorded an album of this high standard. Let me make it clear: this is not only my most favorite Celine album, but it's my most favorite album of ALL TIME! EVERYTHING about the album is just 100% perfect. In fact, I didn't think the perfect album was possible before ANDHC. Even the highly-successful, FIY album and the most recent, TC can't compare. ANDHC was turely Celine at her ULTIMATE BEST!

 

I always said if I was ever forced to choose ONE album, of ALL the records in the word, it would be ANDHC without any hesitation. I'd been a Celine fan for years before ANDHC, but this album is what turned me into a fanatic. There's NOT ONE ERROR on the album. And though it seems as if many don't like it, RT(II) is one of the BEST songs on the album!! Each and every song just extends beyond perfection!

 

To be truthful, I don't even think there are words to describe how perfect it is, because after re-reading it, even this post doesn't seem to convey the perfection of the album! There's definitely no scale to measure its perfection.

ANDHC is one of my favorite albums of celine dion. i love most of the songs except RT, AL, TD & NB. the only thing i hate about this album is most of the songs are about celine being a new mom, children, and family which i find 'corny' and less interesting. IS, GTSW, RIFOY, IA, PRAYER, WTWOLYR are my favorite tracks here. but FIY is her most adventurous, ambitious, and diverse album of her carreer. but, ANDHC earned my respect. i love the album.

i just loved "a new day has come" (radio remix) when i heard it and was excited to buy the album... then when i started listening to it... "I'm alive" starts and i'm like . Anyway i've listened to it millions of times & i came

to like most of it (including I'm alive) but the truly worthy songs are "A new day has come" and "I surrender" (nature boy too though its a well known cover). The greatest reward is beautiful too but it is the french original i actually like,not so much Celine's english version. Though its FAR from bad it marks the start of Celine's fall (at least i got D'elles in this decade)

Agree with you AllCeline . It has the perfect selection of songs, in the right measure (more uptempo songs and less ballads, but still necessary).

 

And it could get the perfect collector's edition next monday if they included All Because Of You and Coulda Woulda Shoulda, as well the whole photoshoot (which is also PERFECT!! ) and videos, remixes etc. But we know that Sony doesn't know/want to do things right with Céline

A New Day Has Come is an awesome album but i would not say it were her best because there are better albums she´s done like Falling Into You, Celine Dion and Let´s talk About Love.

you know what its so hard to choose a fave album, i love Live a Paris, but il listen to another album, and il be like Oh this is my favourite, finding it so hard to choose!

You know what i hated ANDHC album when i first heard it, then i heard it a 2nd time and totally fell in love, beautiful lyrics and music. But at the moment it all about Dion Chante Plamondon, vibbbbbessssssssss!

Oh, indeed!! I still thinnk ANDHC has the best photoshoot that Celine has had. Probably one of the most expensive too.

Yes, ANDHC is a great album. But to choose a #1 one is hard because she's done toooooooooo many great ones

I think what makes this a great album to me is that all the song are consistantly good,, none are terrible

However i dont think it has a really strong song that stands out on its own like her other albums have

but its a great album & a great comeback!!

 

Oh yes and her best photo shoot!!

I agree "A new day has come" is great and "Falling into you" is awesome....but

I really feel her two best albums (in English and in French) are "Taking chances" and "d'elles", and not because they're her newest, but because they're perfect.

This album has the perfect mix on it, it is perfect.

 

This is one of my most appreciated albums I own, As all of my Celine albums are. I love it, and is still refreshing to listen to now!

i wonder why everyone is crazy about the photoshoot. the only 'new' picture taken for this specific album is just the cover (which i think is one of her best album cover ever). are you talking about the beach? the seashore? the sunset picture on the centerfold? the collage?
