Celine Dion: Remixed!

There have been many amazing ballads of Celine's released throughout the years: "My Heart Will Go On" ; "To Love You More" ; etc. These songs have been remixed and turned into great dance numbers - case in point the Tony Moran remix of "My Heart Will Go On."

 

There have also been amazing upbeat Celine numbers: "I Drove All Night" ; "I'm Alive" ; "(If There Was) Any Other Way" ; "Unison" ; "That's The Way It Is" ; etc. These numbers have also been remixed and for some made even better than the original album versions.

 

With that said would you, us, the Celine die-hards that we are, like to see a Celine Dion remixes album released sometime in the future? If so, what are some of the remixes you'd like to see get featured? Are there any songs of Celine's that have not been remixed that you'd perhaps like to see get revamped specifically for this collection?

i always hate the idea of putting up a REMIX ALBUM. why not fix something that isn't broken? and i belive it's just a cash grab from the record company. that's why the remix album sold poorly everywhere. the "ALL TIME" record is MICHAEL JACKSON: BLOOD ON THE DANCEFLOOR- HISTORY IN THE MIX, sold just 6M, and just a little over 1M in the US. celine don't need this.

I'd like to be able to purchase some Celine Remixes... but I'd like them to be well done, not like an official remix of Taking Chances from the single. It is just trashy.

I would love it! Sarah Mclachlan's done two and I like both of them. I think Celine would be a great artist for a remix album.

I think it would be a good idea, and am very surprised that Japan hasn't done it yet.

Well YEAH I would love one... BUT I want a 2CD! I want a cd with the GOOD remixes we already know... from Tony Moran TLYM, MWGO, IA johnney rocks... etc.... AND I want a cd with NEW remixes of songs that haven't been remixed before!!! Now I bet that is too much too ask!!

I wouldn't hate a remix album at all, as long as it's full of good ones.

 

Not all remixes have to be dance ones too. I have a remix album by a Christian music group called ZOEgirl, and they actually took their first single EVER, which was a VERY cheesy dance song, and turned it into a rock song VERY convincingly - to the point where I almost wondered if maybe THIS was the original and the version originally released was some remix. :fofolle: Plus one of her faster songs could then become more jazzy and slower-paced.

 

Actually, now that I think about it, instead of remixes, why not re-record some her songs, both singles and album tracks, in new styles for a 1 or 2-disc set? That way the vocals might fit the new arrangements better.
