Céline brings 150 production crew on tour to South Africa

Well, you know, the last major tour was LTAL and that began nearly 10 years ago.

 

Things have changed. The world has changed. Celine has changed.

 

I'm not surprised of any of these specifications.

P.S. The reason why the chairs do not swivel 360 degrees, is because Celine does not want them to fool around, spinning like her, imitating some of her dances! :laugh: JK about this part!

For every star a comprehensive full list of requirement is done, so they know they'll have all they need on the D day, and that the food they get is something they like.

 

The thing is that they can't check that everything is okay before each venue. Hence the trick is to add weird demands (e.g: I want a bowl of M&M's where all the red one are removed and stored in a blue jar store one metter away from the bowl of m&m's. And I'll only drink is a navy glass. It may sound completely ridiculous and divaish, but they know that if they find those specific requests, that they can trust the people they hired (that is they read the whole contract!) to make sure everything is okay.

NOT some rich country stoned with gold pebbles etc. this ain't no rich country and for sure there will only be the odd thing or 2 that will be accommodated. the rest she'll have to bring along herself. there's only so much money a poor country has. after all she chose to perform here. it's not like we asked her to add SA to her itinery. so sorry celine, bring your own picnic basket please. as for the dressing room demands, wait till you see the stadiums dear. i have a feeling you'll be in a bit of a shock 'cos what we call smart you'll call the bronx

Oh please...it's not like she's going to Somalia. I'm sure South Africa can spare a bowl of potato chips, a couple of cases of beer, and a working phone line. Well that's entirely possible.... especially if she will have a low(er) stage. The stage will be quite big I think, so they will need security around (they probably meant "around" instead of "on" ) the stage. And it's an "in-the round" stage, so there is a certain view angle. It's also possible there will be no fences, so this would make sense even more..

 

These days every little detail needs to be documented.. also the "less important" (to us) ones....

This is not that bad of a rider. I have seen riders from smaller bands for this concert I plan ..like Plain White T's, Spin Doctors...they're all not so famous but ask for a lot of specific stuff too. The riders usually don't change from concert to concert so the artist always asks for everything they think they can possibly need or what they think their crew might need. Half the time they don't use half of the stuff they request. I think if I were able to request whatever my little heart desires I would go a little over the top too.

Thats true too. They do like little tests to make sure that the venues are actually reading the contracts over. Thats why the whole certain color M&M thing is popular on conctracts.

I wish that I was one of those "150 people" as reported in this article. Celine is great and she will put on one heck of a show. I agree that she does not ask for anything outrageous like some other celebrities. Jennifer Lopez asks for more and she is nothing compared to Celine.

oooo! I`m so excited! I can`t believe that the tour will be starting in less than a month. And her requirements aren`t too terrible, I`ve definitely heard of worse. the colored glasses are kind of funny, but what Clonazepam said makes a lot of sense.

I'm confused, I though Rene-Charles didn't have a nanny? And some of the requirements on this list seem a bit much. Celine comes off a tad bit divaish if you ask me!
