StephenDIVA(UK) Posted January 19, 2008 at 09:47 AM Posted January 19, 2008 at 09:47 AM I was wondering if anyone in the know can tell us what has happened or is planned for Celine'e Wax Statue that was in the foyer of The Collesiium. Many of us took pride in having our picture taken with it and I would be sad it was just left to gather dust in some storage cupboard......would it be pratical to take it on tour and have more photo opportinities to raise funds for The Celine Dion Foundation.....any ideas ? Shamrock_1982 Posted January 19, 2008 at 11:59 AM Posted January 19, 2008 at 11:59 AM (edited) it will probably go to madam tussauds at the venetian... i think caesars should turn the celine store into a mini celine musuem to celebrate ''A new day...'' or build a bigger place in there somewhere to house it....imagine, a few of her show costumes showcased, a few props from the show (the tree, get to sit in ''that chair'', one/two of the flyin instruments hung from the roof or moving around the place.... her mic/earpones, dancers costumes props, get to fly like oprah did etc) maybe a huge gold mirror used in some way.. as maybe the entrance to the place. And there is loads more they could put in there, thats just a few examples....i think it would do really well, if it as done right, and id fly back to see it...lol. Fans attending A New Day... will have the opportunity to be photographed with the statue as well as the option to purchase their framed photographs at the end of the each performance. All of Celine's proceeds from the sale of these photos will go to the Celine Dion Foundation, a charitable organization that helps those in need, with an emphasis on children and families. Fans who purchase their photograph will also receive a Celine Dion Foundation pin. Official Unveiling of Second Celine StatueApril 13, 2006 The official unveiling of Celine's second wax statue will take place on May 7 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas as part of the 500th show celebration. The statue, created by Le Musée Grévin, will have on Celine's dress from the 1998 Academy Awards where 'My Heart Will Go On' (Love Theme from 'Titanic') won the Oscar for 'Best Original Song'. Celine's first wax replica, on display at Le Musée Grévin in Paris, has been one of the most popular attractions at the museum since it was first unveiled over two months ago. I absolutely agree.....I think that is an amazing idea and a small thamkyou from Caesers and Las Vegas for the part Celine has played in revitalising the Town and in honour of her being the first to play the Collesium with her landmark show.....I would certainly vivit Vegas again if they had such an exhibition and there must be some great memorablia from the show as you mention...Great idea.
