Interview With Luc Plamondon

Plamondon: And from this occasion arouse the opportunity for Céline [Dion] to speak and gather ideas for her new French album. She participated at the Enfoires 2008 and met Jean-Jacques Goldman there.

 

They hugge?

 

Plamondon: Yes, they hugged.

 

And then?

 

Plamondon: they met the vice chief-executive of Sony BMG France - the second person René does not know in Europe from Sony. A new idea was born.

 

Idea?

 

Plamondon: Yes. Idea.

 

What kind of idea?

 

Plamondon: Many things have been discussed.

 

Things?

 

Plamondon: Yes, things like promotion. Céline received a special notebook with all the several hundreds promotional performances she has to record in Paris before even she starts recording the new French album.

 

Several hundred promotional performances?

 

Plamondon: Yes. Several hundred promotional performances. Among them: M6 Hit Machine, 13heures, TFI Special Molto Molto Special, 30 episodes of Vivement Dimanche Xmas Special up to 2036 (John Titor) and of course a special live feed live from Paris to TVA featuring the special promotional appearance of Denise Bombardier who already taped all the promotional material for the new French album for the Quebec.

 

Denise Bombardier?

 

Plamondon: Yes. Denise Bombardier. She will be one of the writers on the French album. A new idea was born in Les Enfoires 2008. During the hug Jean Jacques Goldman whispered to Céline: "Please let me be supervisor again, I need the money" and Céline was just as honoured to say "Yes" as Denise Bombardier agreeing to write another song for the new French album whose idea been born.

 

Been born?

 

Plamondon: Yes. Been born. Like "La Diva" was born in 15 min on the plane to Las Vegas this new idea of a new French album has been born now. On Les Enfoires. All is being set now. Céline is amazed by the proposals.

 

Proposals?

 

Plamondon: Yes. Proposals. Especially the one made by Denise "Il fiore del Banquier" Bombardier which says that the album should be titled "Le Secret" and should contain new exclusive previously not even once in the life of Christ mentioned tracks.

 

Mentioned tracks?

 

Plamondon: Yes. New exclusive previously not even once in the life of Christ mentioned tracks. It's one big secret what Denise Bombardier will have written for the new album of Céline who has been enthralled by the idea of having another new French album with the supervision of her very best friend Jean-Jacques.

 

Jean-Jacques?

 

Plamondon: Yes. Jean-Jacques. Not the one that has been standing with a laughing face on the CBS Oprah special 2003 when Celine in most kind manner asked her if she would love and yearn for some orange juice. the bottle was standing 5 mm from Céline's hand away. Jean-Jacques was standing 5 m away. Yet still Céline asked: "Wanna some juice, Oprah?" and then standing about 3-4 mm from the glass with orange juice she yelled: JEAN-JACQUES! But no, it's not the one Jean-Jacques. No, no.

 

No, no?

 

Plamondon: No. No, no. It's the one who always loves to supervise Céline's French albums and officially controlls the music and approves the lyrics. Especially the lyrics of Jacques Veneruso and the Gay Quebec Couple. He has been a Céline supporter for about 20 years now. The new French album of which idea has been born in Les enfoires 2008 will receive huge unprecedented promotional blitz krieg like every new Céline's release.

 

Céline's release?

 

Plamondon: Yes. Céline's release. It will be huge and unprecedented like nothing we have seen before. Something that enthralls and seduces, makes us want more and more. Just like Denise Bombardier's sister when she fell down on Wetten Dass everybody wanted "MORE MORE MORE". The album will be something simply special in Céline's career and will be relased soon.

Plamondon: Yes. Soon. The release is planned for November 2009 which will be advanced to March 2009 to make its commercial success even more sure than it already be anyway.

 

Anyway?

 

Plamondon: Yes. Anyway. Like the one person in SonyBMG René Angelil never ever knew the company is supporting their main artist in a very sophisticated and articulated way. All the several hundred performances taped during the "Les Enfoires 2008" will be televised at the same day on TF1, France 1 2 3 4 5 and M6. At the same time - I have never ever see such huge promotional blitz krieg before! And of course it will be in March. the album will be released in November 2009.

 

November 2009?

 

Plamondon: Yes. November 2009. At the date when Céline will have extended her world tour by another 6-7 years with a very clear and possible formulated option of "another year extension". She loved the song "Argent Trop Cher" which has been sung on the Les Enfoires 2008 which gave the new French album an idea although nothing has been recorded yet but many promotional huge entertainment performances have been taped. Céline loves argent. Loves to tour, as well.

 

To tour?

 

Plamondon: Yes. To tour. Her tour is making "argent trop cher" for me, too. she won't ever stop till her Swiss bank account's 0's number will hit the total of the Taking Chances editions released around the world. Let's say she has to tour a lot to reach this goal of many 0's before the 1. We are glad.
