Yes, I agree... Celine's songs are great, but I do think Where Does My Heart Beat Now is one of the best.

 

As far as the tour set list is concerned, I am sure 75% of the songs will not be from the new album.

 

And I think that she will continue to perform The Power of Love and My Heart Will Go On. They are among Celine's major hits... If I'm not mistaken, I believe The Power of Love was Celine's first #1 hit in English. And My Heart Will Go On is considered by many to be Celine's signature song. So I suppose that is why Celine will continue to perform those songs on tour.

 

I have never seen Celine live, but I hope to see her in 2009. And The Power of Love is one of my favorite songs, so I hope she sings it on tour!

I think that this song is one of Her best songs recorded in 90's...

I love this song! I still remember watching the music video when I was really young. Although I think it's pretty unlikely she would sing that song live again. I thought she said that she had already sucked all the life she possibly could out of that song?

 

and that doesn't go for TPOL, MHWGO, LCMM, IACBTMN, TLYM, BYLM etc :xmaswhistling:

 

I think singing WDMHBN again would be like a fresh wind! :giggle:

I love that song too. I just adore the soft rock arrangement. And her voice is so raw and powerful. It's definitely among her best English songs.

Yeah, this is my very favorite Celine song! Something about it just gets me every time! I so wish I could hear her sing this song live! Talk about sucking the life out of a song, TPOL playback track died 10 years ago! She's sung that song at every concert and every special she's ever done almost, but WDMHBN got scrapped a long time ago. I so wish she'd sing it again. She really should do more of her older songs! This song will always be very special to me!

I couldn't agree more! I hope so very much that she reaches farther back into her repertoire to some older stuff and strays away from the stuff from the Vegas show and also includes a lot of new stuff. There's a few songs from A New Day that should be in the new tour, but I would like to think she would perform All By Myself [one of my fave live vocals from her].

 

There are people who know her for certain songs [the stuff from movies, etc] and will go to her shows just to say that they saw her live and she sang "Because You Loved Me", or something like that. If only we could vote on a tour set list!!! LOL

She said she doesn't to sing the song now. and she has all the right to. TPOL, MHWGO she's obliged to sing, tho cuzz ppl would feel cheated if she didn't sing her "hits". But this was I think her concious choice not to include this song anymore in the set list.

You shouldn't be. Celine's version is the best version.

 

I listened to Pandora's box version and it also sound great.

 

As well as Meatloaf and Marion duet version.

I also find "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" to be an amazing Celine track. She was so young and innocent back when it premiered. It would be nice if she decided to perform it during this tour seeing as it could be her final BIG tour. I don't see anything wrong with having a medley of sorts that starts with "Where Does My Heart Beat Now" and then fades into "Taking Chances." It would be a nice way to tie her (English) career together. Then for the French cities she could perform "Ce n'était qu'un rêve" and then fade into "Et s'il n'en restait qu'une."

 

That's my two cents.

I would expect a few more tracks from the new album to be performed. Then again, if only Taking Chances, Alone, Eyes on Me, and That's Just the Woman In Me were performed, I would not be one bit surprised.
